Guldlin Park Public Access Site ramp

Lots of beauty to see, thru out entire park. Also kid and pet friendly. Live to take my daily walks here A MUST SEE!!!

Easy access to the 3 Rivers for kayaks, boats, canoes, etc. With parking lot

Very easy to unload a boat or kayak at. Usually alot of garbage in the area. Makes me nervous actually leaving my vehicle there with homeless people in the woods around the area. Its a quick opportunity for someone to break a window, steal contents & be gone before you get back with a boat or kayak. I have used this boat ramp 10 times in the last 3 yrs & it is becoming sketchier each time. The last time I was there, two guys were in the wooded area watching everything I did & noticed I was by myself with boat. I kind of didn't want to leave on the boat dock but did & came back to everything as I left it this time.

We used this boat ramp to put our kayaks in the St. Mary's River. We had a lovely fall paddle up to Sweeney Park. The river was very clean. We didn't see a lot of wildlife, but we did see a few mallard ducks, a great blue heron, and one eagle. We'll try using some other access points in the future, but this one was fine. We were able to park very close to the boat ramp.

The park is great and the riverfront concept is fantastic and sorely needed in downtown Fort Wayne. However is it even possible to reverse the effects of pollution and un-controlled effluent into the city's 3 rivers. I want it to smell better. I want the water to be clean enough to swim in, but plain fact is that its not, and honestly I'm not sure any amount of money spent by the city could make it so. (The city I remember and moved away from didnt have a high enough value on parks & rec I my opinion) I'm glad to see thats changing now. Its great to see so many people using the spaces and the outfitters we rented kayaks from did a nice job. Let's keep pressure on city leaders for the cleanup and hope things continue to in the direction they're going.

It is very cool to see that the city is giving us more access points for the river. I'm excited to use them. Easy in and out. We definitely need more areas to stop and enjoy the scenery on the area rivers.

Great time, my sister bachelorette party was on the boat, loved every minute. Highly recommended
