Perfect place to let pets roam if you're alone. Otherwise, leashes are recommended if others are present. Playground areas are kid-friendly. Plenty of shade. Nice, cable bridge over a creek that's perfect for photos. We were there for wedding pics. Open field allows soccer, Frisbee, etc. Easy access off Winscott Rd just north of Loop 820 in Benbrook.
Such a beautiful natural park. The walking trail, a creek runs along just below the trail. A small playground for the kids. Plenty of open green space and a few picnic tables. Just be aware there are no potties.
The park has a ton of room for running around and lots of pavement for riding scooters or bikes. There’s also a large open field for playing soccer, and an official field that’s gated. The gazebo is a decent size too!
A great place to go fossil hunting. The creek dries up during the fall season and you can walk almost the whole stretch of it. There is a long suspension bridge that leads to trails on the other side of the creek. I felt very safe hiking alone; the park was well-kept.
The off-leash dogs which are normally huge dogs is very dangerous. Along with the homeless pitching tents in the woods and making villages is also very sketchy and dangerous. Do not bring kids through the trails unless you have preventative measures for the homeless and off leash dogs
South Boaz Park offers a maze of shady trails through brushy areas, a mostly dry creek bed, and vast green spaces under shade trees for dogs to roam and play unleashed. Little League teams also practice on the playing fields. My two dogs love this place. I've made just about as many friendly acquaintances as they have. This park is a must for friendly and socialized dogs and people.
Love this park! Beautiful this time of year, spring. I’ve been playing this disc golf course for the better part of a decade. It’s well taken care of, trails and throw pads are pretty easy to find. Course has everything, literally. Well rounded and covering all your throw options. That said, when it’s sprint and everything is growing, you can lose discs if your throw off the beaten path. I lost one yesterday and someone called me by night, same day.
