U.S. Customs and Border Protection - Laredo Convent Avenue Port of Entry

I didn't even get to this place cuz 3 CBP officers were well prepared and been meetng people in middle of bridge. After I was going to seek asylum black bald officer that worked on November 8 in evening advised that's he's been working very hard denying all cases in office and he had some really strong ones. He also felt very obliged to remind me in end that if I am going to attemp to cross at other POE, run border illegally (like if I had any intentions of doing so, I'd be caught and fined

Customs agents angrily yelling at people to stand behind a "yellow line" and wait to be called. The "yellow line" is not existent. There's glue remnants of what used to be a line, but from an outsiders point of view it looks like its been removed. Maybe have a clearly delineated line and signs like any other customs entry thats say to wait behind line. Maybe then your agents won't be stressed out and yelling at these people for lack of proper signage. You can't expect people to read your mind and yelling angrily is uncessary. If you hate your job, quit. No reason to treat people like they're stupid and beneath you. You can act professional and still get your job done well and efficiently. Side not: facility is nice. Other than the attitude from one particular angry female agent, process was smooth.

Apparently they have a new system for buses, which is a very poor system. They have 4 booths, but only 1 booth functioning for buses. The wait was well over 4 hrs, considering that when we arrived to the border we were more than half past the bridge. I thought we'd be there at least 2 hrs tops. Upon arriving to where you unload your luggage, They had us sitting in the bus for approximately 30 min. There were 4-5 officials just standing around, (yup, our good tax dollars at work right there) waiting for their signal for us to get off the bus, I understand if they were tending to people, but they weren't. .....Awful, Awful system to say the least.

I crossed over at 4:10 they didn’t give me the reason why they’re gonna do an expection on me get they made me so so uncomfortable and they try to talk to me in Spanish and I spoke with them with English and they know Spanish and English so why can I repl to me with English? I’m not gonna reply with them in Spanish when I’m a US citizen they made an investigation inspection with me asking if I cross over all the time or if I travel through airplane on somewhere else when I don’t like to go too far from Mexico because I don’t trust Mexico that much I’ll leave over there because the pills are cheaper on Plan B or medication but now I want to make a report about this because it means feel so uncomfortable and I can’t wait to talk to my lawyer about how uncomfortable they may still feel. Also they wanted to pad search me and I refused, they asked me why and I replied I prefer a female officer, and they said no so I said I still prefer a female officer. The border patrol had no choice but to let me go I hope they ask who was working that day and I hope they do better by asking appropriate questions instead of asking me if am a boy or girl when my state Texas id says am a female. Date of incident 11-29-22 4:10 pm.

This is ridiculous!!! I'm so mad, frustrated, tired, hungry, & have 6 kids that want out of the vehicle! We tried 2 different ports to cross over. The 1st one was closed before 10 pm, & 2nd one was closed due to contruction. We were directed to port #2. We arrived in line approximately 10:30 pm. Our hotel is literally 25 mins away. We have now been in this line for over 8 hours! Crazy! I can't get the Mexico border control to answer any phone to ask any questions of why it's taking so long, & the US border control can't give me any answers.

Sometimes lines are pretty long and slow, but i mean its their job to check everyone out so its alright, i just dislike the random ass customs that makes lots of questions and treat you like criminal lol.. Yeah they exist and i hope you dont find one of those. But overall most of them are pretty nice people 🙂

Sometimes it can be more efficient to use this bridge, check twitter user @palotrolado to compare times on all 3 bridges. Using colombia will be about 20 minutes longer, but it could save you big if you have to wait 3 hours on other bridges.
