We stayed 6 nights in the Scarlet Suites, Gold Tower. The first room was 1027, the second 1227. Both rooms shared the master bathroom wall with the ice machine. Both rooms had mold damage from the ice machine. My kiddo and I became very sick in our first room after two days. I lost two days of the work I went there for due to migraine and coughing. The bathroom wall was saturated in black mold to the point the wallpaper fell away on its own. The keurigs in both rooms had mold in the filter screens. The first bathrooms toilet had mold. As for the hotel overall, it was a great location. The restaurants were good. I felt safe. The mold though. It ruined the last half of our trip. They comped our upgrade fees and resort fees for the inconvenience. I would consider trying the Rush tower next time. Its newer. Also, for people who like quiet...this is not the place for you. I didnt mind the noise. I slept with provided earplugs.
I purchased the Rush Tower, Penthouse for my daughter's 21st Birthday. That was 15 years ago, but I'll never forget the amazing room, high vaulted ceiling, with windows from floor to roof, a bathroom so large it has 2 doors, poolside bar and a cabana with a giant bed and misters. The pool slide travels down through the shark tank and is an most will never experience. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The gaming is fun as there's always a good vibe, a lot of machine payout noise, and people celebrating their big win. My daughter died since then and Im so glad I spent a little extra to make her 21st BD the best. I have so many great memories spending time together at the Golden Nugget. Nevada residents used to be allowed to swim free, so we visited often. The don't have the little shrimp cocktails for .99 any longer - I asked a bartender for one and he had no idea what I was talking about, and he worked at the Nugget for 11 years. It was shocking to hear - time passes so fast and you never know when the ones you love the most won't be with you any longer. Make every second count. Ive stayed at the rest and I find the Nugget one of the best. Thank you Golden Nugget for 60 years of cherished memories.
It's ok. No personal internal interaction checking in. All done by kiosk. If you have something slightly off it holds up the entire process checking in. Great service at Salt Grass bar staff. Juan, John, Tavern are super great guys. Rooms are ok. The feel is 1980's and beat up, and the Rush tower was supposed to be remodeled. The interaction from guest services that no big deal if you have an issue. See picture. They have so many people come through there it doesn't matter if we choose other accommodations. Too bad. I'm sure it was once a great place to stay. My buddies who come all the time recommended this place and even they are going to choose other accommodations due to the customer service and the I don't care attitude from customer service. No wonder people don't want to come to Vegas.
Love this casino. I haven't stayed in a room here yet because I was living within walking distance, but I might stay when my fiancee comes. It looks like a cool place to stay. I have played the slots here because of the good variety of machines and I like the vibe of the casino.
Dates hotel on Fremont Street, restaurants have a good selection and pricing. Ones near the casino floor are cheaper and more fast food compared to the one further away(quieter and more sit down). Rooms are ok however, single glazed window with a blind that doesn’t block out the daylight. You can hear the busy street of Freemont, the hotel does give ear buds but that doesn’t keep out the bass from the street as it vibrates through the building (floor 18). Wouldn’t use the fire escapes to walk downstairs, bottom floors are like something from a zombie apocalypse. Location is good to the Arts district(good food and drink prices) and bus station.
I stay here every year when I come to Vegas for my yearly conference… Surprised I have not reviewed before. At check-in, you can check yourself in with a kiosk. There was actually somebody standing there who was very friendly and helpful… The whole check-in process was super fast and easy with the kiosk… My only complaint would be they only give you one room key. Secondly, the room was a little dated, but actually large and was very nice especially the bathroom with a giant walk-in closet and dual sinks Although I did not pay for this room, my employer did I am very impressed. Will definitely be back… Their slot machines are very tight however I’ve already lost 80 bucks and I’ve only been here for a couple of hours. I did not really win anything at all to speak up more than a couple of dollars and lost 80 bucks within an hour… Loosen up your slot machines!
The Golden Nugget suite is so underrated. We were so excited when we arrived. The room exceeded our expectations even after viewing a video walkthrough prior to booking it. We stayed in the Spa 2 bedroom suite as part of attending my nephew's wedding. I was very impressed with the value, quality and cleanliness of the modern yet classic Vegas style room. The service from everyone was above and beyond... we truly felt like VIPs. Details in both the room and service were amazing. The management are miracle workers! It is easy for service to be great when everything is going well. A true test of hotel service is grace under pressure during a problem. I will be vague on purpose as we had a problem, and it was 100% resolved. Our problem is the type of thing that happens in hotels and is something management can rarely correct. In fact, I know of no instance where management could correct this type of issue, so I was hesitant to even report the issue as futile. Well, Golden Nugget management did the impossible and corrected the problem 100%! If you are looking for a true taste of classic Vegas VIP treatment, book the Golden Nugget Spa Suite! Thank you, management!
