Trail will be great if they properly finish it, but as of now, it's impossible to bike down to the train station from the Bruce freeman trail because sections of this trail are still just gravel, too loose and deep to bike over.

Cooler before when it was just some old train tracks

The trail is no longer gravel and is now able to be and is connected to the Bruce Freeman trail again. They finished paving it a couple of weeks ago roughly. Just be careful because there's a lot of recreational vehicles and vehicles that fly up and down it all the time so just be aware of that if you're biking or walking out there especially if you have children. The graffiti under the bridge is absolutely breathtaking! The artist is amazing! There are some small scattered homeless camping sites along the path; but they're all harmless and it won't bother you; but they usually glad to take a minute to talk to you if you have questions or just to say hi as you're passing by. I know this first hand because unfortunately I'm severely disabled and unhoused, with my two beautiful purrbabies 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛, in the small camper at the very beginning of trail, right at the beginning of where they paved it. I do not drink or do drugs or cause any problems or do anything but be friendly to everybody and I am supposed to be at the top of the list to finally get a disabled apartment, but until then I have no choice but to stay here. The one thing that made me drop the Stars I gave is because right at the beginning of the trail, just before my camper and next to my camper, is a huge pile of trash and vines that have overgrown through it and in it and it's disgusting and full of rats and I voice my concerns to local authorities as well as the paving company that was here with all of their machinery and equipment that could have easily picked it all up and put it in the back of their dump truck and brought it to the dumpsters but they said they didn't get paid to do that and weren't asked to so they weren't going to and they didn't! All of that was there when I got here, I take my trash to the dumpsters because I am a clean person and a respectful person even though it's really hard for me with my is there anybody who comes down here a lot please do not think that is from me because it most certainly isn't and I want it gone as much as you do I'm sure lol! The people at the next site with the large dog that looks and sounds vicious but is really just a big baby looking for attention and wanting to jump on and kiss everybody that goes by LOL or clean and sober also, and don't cause any problems and try to keep their site as clean as possible as well. We are just all disabled and there are no shelters especially for me that could let me stay inside all day and have the bed rest when I need it and things like that because most shelters make you go outside all day until late at night when they let you back in so you are just sleeping there. But they are not even any of those sheltered nor are there any domestic violence shelter beds because that is what I was trying to get help for since August of 2023 when I first became unhoused. So just please don't be worried about having any problems with us; we simply have no other place to go until housing comes through which takes forever and even if they are lucky enough to get into a shelter, which won't happen, they claim to help you find housing but they don't I wasn't going to post this but I wanted to let the community people who use this trail that there is nothing to be afraid of and we're not going to bother you and please be understanding of our situation. There is literally nothing we can do other than pray that some housing comes through. Thanks and God bless!😊✌️🙏🙏🙏
