This park has several sections. Rose garden that was excellent, a more native natural fountain area in the Peace Garden (very serene), and there is a bird sanctuary also very Northwoods kinda natural walking trails. Parking right across from Rose garden next to peace garden. Only a few bucks for parking, so a good deal, as you will spend at least an hour, I think maybe two or more if you sit and relax or explore every plant/flower type. Great little gem in Lakes area of Minneapolis!!
Lots of open grass to just lay on so if you bring a picnic blanket then you can easily lay down and just relax. Also plenty of trees for hammocks and shade. The flowers were pretty but it really is dependent on what season you come see them.
This park is a lovely and beautiful place to stroll. Next to Lake Harriet. Garden typically begins blooming mid-June and lasts till early October. You can see history sculpture and beautiful water fountain. Such a glorious place garden to visit and take pictures.
This is a very beautiful open park. Lots of greenery, flowers, and landscaping. You can easily spend 1 hour here taking a casual stroll. Great place for a picnic. There are no benches though. There's parking available. It is not enclosed or secluded. So you won't feel like you are on some nature hike.
Gorgeous park and gardens. Quieter in the morning and by afternoon lots of visitors enjoying this beautiful space. This was a highlight of our visit to the twin cities.
This is a lovely place to visit especially in spring when the trees are blooming and the tulips are up. I enjoyed seeing the many gnomes and other cute props that they put among the tulips.
Saw some cool stuff! The trails are beautifully maintained, and the rise garden is absolutely stunning! So glad to spend some time here before leaving Minneapolis. It was a nice strong dose of nature time before hopping on an airplane! Also highly recommend checking out the bird sanctuary. It was a stunning, peaceful walk!
