Tuhey Park

A beautiful little neighborhood park with a spacious two level playground! The playground is covered with wood chips so even after a good rain, it is a safe place for the children to play without coming home or getting into your vehicle all muddy! The park also has a pool with waterslides a splash pad for younger children and toddlers. There is a smaller playground located directly across the street for smaller children.

The park is nice. The playground is big. Parking is tricky but doable. However the employees that work at the pool should not watch anyone arguing or young teens trying to start a fight outside the pool towards the park area or the pool. Second time being their and a fight broke out as I watched the staff looking and not calling 911for a long time.. I would hope this doesn't happen a lot as my grandchildren are visiting Indiana. It's a nice place and everyone should feel safe.

Tuhey Park is amazing, if your children are like mine "little extreme play-grounders/climbers", they would really enjoy it. I was very excited and appreciative of muncie putting in a safe, new, exciting playground for the children and families who enjoy being outdoors. My kids were 2 and 3 years old when it opened and they had no problems enjoying the playground. Now I must say, if your children don't get outside much and they are more of the indoors type, then you might want to hold their hands but if not, at least you can enjoy running around playing tag with them. Also a great place to watch the 4th of July fireworks!

Tuhey Park is a very nice city swimming pool in Muncie , Indiana. It also has two big slides the kids love, one in the pool and one on dry ground. It has a picnic shelter across the street and quite a bit of grassy area that is mowed. The pool area has a concession stand and there are picnic tables. There is a separate swimming pool for little ones and also a lap lane. There is a splash pad but it isn’t always on. Many days around 3 to 4 p.m. meals are delivered to the picnic area and are free to all children! The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because the restrooms need better rules, such as doors shut and no boys allowed in the ladies restroom with their mothers above a certain age. The showers have no curtains and the one shower that has a door does not work.

We were here for a swim meet. The pool is a nice pool, and the pool deck is also nice. My biggest complaint is the lack of parking. People parked on the road, which can create safety issues. The restrooms and changing areas for the swimmers are on the rougher side.
