Nice Mill Recreation Area

This is a pretty place, but there is a ton of trash everywhere that really detracts from the nature experience. Don't go when it's dark. There's quite a bit of evidence of unsavory activities, especially on the trails. Fishing can be okay depending on when you go.

Nice park/place to go and clear your mind, enjoy nature in the woods with a river circling it. It has two convenient parking areas and you can see some people here enjoying and taking advantage of fishing or having kind of a picnic. Pretty nice to enjoy a low-key outing, specially of nature.

Excellent place to unwind, listen the water sound, bird watching, people watching, fishing, hanging a hammock between trees, fresh breeze, trail walking area and tubing. Good to visit anytime of the year. Ideal spot for Nature photographers or any photoshoot. Perfect for nature prayer meditation, family and friends gathering. Pets loved too! I highly recommend this beautiful nature spot.

We absolutely love this place. If your kids aren't full on swimmers, highly recommend bringing them a life vest. There is a shallow rapids area that they can sit in and "ride" the rapids, but it dumps into the deeper part of the pool. There's also a dam with super fast rushing water to ride over if you're a full fledged and adventurous swimmer!

In large portions of the country this might be A Sight To See. It is one might say a humbly beautiful location. It's also a magnificent place to fish. The bream as they are called regionally, pumpkinseed sunfish to us Northwest Ordninance folk, are fiesty and itching to bite your spinner jig. I cannot vouch for their levels of contamination so throw em back and catch em again.

I definitely a hidden Jim. This particular Friday we got there about noon. The water was perfect. Not too many people. One person brought their dog out there. I will have to say way better than going to amusement water park.

Nice area to explore for an hour or two. A couple of hiking trails take you further along Stewart's Creek.
