The staff at this hotel is 10 stars!! I don’t know how they do it but I will 100% be back. They took exceptional care of us during the ice storm for a week. Multiple rooms, multiple days, it was an incredible display of teamwork and excellent customer care and service. From the valet, the the food, housekeeping, maintenance, etc etc workout facilities, etc The view of the Vandy Football stadium was so cool! We got to meet the Uk basketball team. We had such a nice week away from home! Hats off to the WHOLE Marriott team. I wish I could remember everyone’s names!
My wife and I had another great Thanksgiving stay here—4–5 years in a row now. The staff was excellent and really took care of us. Special thanks to Johnny, who helped us multiple times during our stay and made sure our room was perfect. His hospitality stood out. As an Ambassador Elite member, I truly appreciate how much this property cares. We’ll be back again next year. Happy holidays!
I recently stayed at the Nashville Marriott near Vanderbilt, and unfortunately, it was not a great experience. The hotel itself feels old and is starting to show significant wear. The lighting throughout the room and hallways was dim and unwelcoming — it honestly felt like something out of a scary movie. Cleanliness was also a concern. The toilet seat had visible stains, and there was a used water bottle left in the bathroom from a previous guest, which immediately made me question housekeeping standards. The Wi-Fi connection went in and out the entire stay. I called maintenance for assistance, but the technician simply turned the TV off and back on, which did not resolve the issue. The internet continued to be unreliable for the remainder of my visit. Additionally, I placed clothes in the bag for dry cleaning, filled out the form as instructed, and they were never picked up. There was no follow-up or acknowledgment from staff. Overall, this was not a good stay. I expected a much higher standard from a Marriott property, especially in such a central Nashville location. I hope management addresses these issues because the property has potential, but right now it does not reflect the quality associated with the brand.
The last few weeks I've had to stay at the Marriott downtown and had exceptional service. Everybody's been very kind to me. Everything's always clean everyone's very helpful. This is a wonderful place to stay and I'm glad today. Zoe helped me and she did a great job.
We are staying at the Vanderbilt Marriott during the ice storm and can’t say enough good about the staff! So kind and hard working. In particular - Aayush was extremely helpful during check in, he helped us extend our stay for a second time and was very helpful for any request we asked about. This hotel is great and I’m happy we chose to stay here during this difficult time.
First time staying at this Marriott, and if in the area again I would absolutely come back here. The area is amazing, from the proximity to Vandy to the area restaurants, but also the fact that The Parthenon is directly across the street with plenty of walking paths. The rooms are nice size, the shower and bathroom both have actual doors! If you have access, the M Club is also really nice, and a good option for breakfast. Sam at the front desk was super helpful, and gave me the lay of the land on my side of the desk. That's a pro hospitality move. If you've stayed at enough hotels for biz travel you notice the small things that set properties apart. That's what he delivered here. Another cool feature is the view into Vanderbilt's stadium from the cardio machines in the gym. The only drawback is the parking. It is terribly overpriced. >$50 seems a bit much for one night of valet-only parking. Everything else was exceptional!
Thank you to Nashville Vanderbilt Marriott team for a brief but wonderful stay. Daniel and Alex were particularly welcoming as we arrived. The lounge bartender was terrific as he hosted FCS fans from Illinois and Montana. I know they all were enjoying their visit. Rooms were clean and nicely presented. Thank you all!
