My wife and I visited our grandson at College in Boston, and the way home we stopped at Castle Island for a stroll and ice cream at Sullivan's. Love to go people watch. Used to fish here as a child before Pleasure Bay was created. Lovely scenery.

This park is beautiful. The water views are out of this world, plenty of food spots abound nearby, great for all.

We visited on a cold day and remained in our car, but the playground looked nice, the fort is a cool piece of history, and I'm looking forward to visiting the military museum in the near future. Free parking in the winter!

An interesting historical area to visit, with a small museum and lots of monuments. There is an abandoned bunker which is pretty grimy and covered in graffiti but if your into that kinda thing it's worth the visit. Parking is for New Bedford residents who own a pass so you might have to do some walking to get there. There's also a beautiful water view for relaxing in the sun.
