Jackson Square

Cool little square located in the middle of everything . Cafe Du Monde near by French Market couple blocks away. The street musican were cool to watch. It was nice to visit at sun down less crowded at that time.

Jackson Square served as a "hub" for our trip. On several days, we started here and branched off in different directions for various siteseeing activities. I would definitely recommend getting a beignet and relaxing for a bit on a bench near Jackson's statue. I loved the street performers, artists and local vendors that contributed to a unique atmosphere. This continues to stand out vividly when I think about New Orleans after returning home. Leave some time for stepping into the cathedral to look at the stained glass, art, and architecture. We explored the museums on both sides of the cathedral and the cathedral itself.

I enjoyed being on this Square. The presence of St. Louis Cathedral as the oldest Cathedral in America from where the Square is beautiful. Very well maintained. There's a jazz player and you know you are in New Orleans. If you are driving a car, there's a convenient paid parking just a few minute walk to the Square and the Cathedral.

One of my favorite spots in the whole world. It's beautiful, it's iconic. It's the image of New Orleans. The Cathedral is beautiful. The park in the square is well maintained and gorgeous. All of the art and street performers on the old side streets is just so special. I can't say enough good things about it. Always live music to hear, smells of food, the horse and mule drawn carriages are lovely. It's my happy place.

So so beautiful! It was busy when we arrived, but not too difficult to walk around. It is very well kept, neat and tidy. No restrooms nearby that I know of though. Café du Monde is also 2 minutes walk from here.

A beautiful and lively spot in the French Quarter, Jackson Square is full of energy and charm. Surrounded by historic buildings like the St. Louis Cathedral, it’s a great place to relax, take photos, and enjoy local street performers and artists. The gardens are well-kept, but note that they’re only accessible during certain hours so plan your visit accordingly. Easy to walk around and a perfect stop while exploring the city.
