I had a great experience flying into Newark Liberty International Airport. The airport was easy to navigate, well signed, and efficient from arrival to ground transportation. Everything felt organized, making it simple to get around even after a long flight. There were plenty of amenities available, which made the experience comfortable and convenient. Overall, a smooth and stress-free airport to fly into
My experience at Newark Liberty International Airport was cool overall. You can tell they are in the middle of renovations, and it looks like everything is coming together nicely. The updated areas feel more modern, cleaner, and better organized, which made moving through the airport smoother than expected. Despite the construction, things were clearly marked and easy to navigate, and the atmosphere felt more polished than on past visits. Once the upgrades are fully complete, this airport is definitely on track to offer a much improved travel experience.
EWR terminal A is a new terminal. Like some other airports, it has facial recognition hardware which speed up the process a little bit. But the experience on human side still lacks behind. Check in on AA account takes longer than average time and I can see agents don't have needed knowledge on that. Even if I put that aside, agents don't not have the urgency while travellers line up and are eagerly waiting. Lacking of service minded is what I say.
I like traveling via Newark Airport. Being able to walk in and get processed is easy. TSA was easy to walk through and the gates are spacious with plenty of areas to charge your tools. Gate areas are very clean and well attended.
Definitely one of the best airports I have been through in the United States. I was flying in from DC with a connection onward to Phoenix and it was a great experience. When connecting between terminals, there are shuttle buses that run airside. I came in at gate C94 and had slightly over 2 hours for my connection at gate A29. In the center of concourse A, it is massive. The ceilings are high, the windows are huge, and there are plenty of shopping and dining options. It's comparable to the Great Hall area of the Tom Bradley terminal at LAX. And it's also great for aviation enthusiasts because there are lots of good spots to stand by the large windows and photograph and watch planes coming and going. Overall Newark EWR is a great airport and is very easy to navigate with lots of good signage and if you're not sure, staff are very helpful with directing people where they need to go.
This is an okay airport for what it is. It is large, but signs are clear and easy to follow. Good if you allow extra time or are a power walker like myself. Security lines can be long even if you get there early. Be aware of the Clear Plus sales representatives at the entry of security lines, as they will pull people away from there at random to try and sell expensive memberships. This is a marketing scheme to try and get you to avoid the long security lines, rather than the airport taking measures to improve wait times. Areas of Terminal C are a bit gross and in need of a better cleaning. There are also birds randomly flying throughout the airport. I will say that the gates are spacious enough with plenty of seating and charging stations. There are also plenty of spots to eat if you have time, and I was pretty impressed with the selection of grab and go spots. Plenty of options for fresh food and coffee while you wait. Again, it’s an okay airport for what it is with some room for improvement. This place was an easy in and out for me when traveling to New York City.
My second favorite of the 3 NYC area airports. The security area is large and there’s rarely a wait. They also do facial recognition, which is nice. The Admirals club is new and one of the nicer ones by far. Bathrooms are clean and there are tons of hand sanitizer stations.
