Pennypack Park

Fantastic trail (paved and wide) along the creek with access to the water in many places. Peaceful and tranquil place near Philly . Great for a long walk , a run or a bike ride.

It's my hiking group's favorite trail to go for a long hike when we go to Philly area. But some parts of the trail can be very muddy after some rains. The trails runs mostly along the Pennypack Creek, which can cause flooding after heavy rains. And there are a lot of parking lots along the trail. Many more f them have picnic areas. Some have pavilions. They are also good places to go for water fun during summer.

Nice place to visit.Great place to fish during trout season, especially April and May.Summer time is not a good time to visit the park.To much illegal swimming going on and to much partying, which the Philadelphia Police department is cracking down on.During the autumn it's the best time to visit the park, very beautiful with the Fall folage, very colorful.Make sure you carry a camera with you a lot of scenery to photograph and wildlife.Every now and then you'll get a chance to see the Bald Eagles flying by.

I really like going to Pennypack park. I live next to the reserve and often go with my family, dogs, MTB and run. Very beautiful park! Unfortunately, on weekends and holidays people have been partying by the creek and leaving a huge amount of rubbish. Little by little, what was beautiful has become a real and sad scene! I would like to ask the community for help in making reports to capable authorities. Let’s take care of nature for us and next generation.

It's a very good park if you trying to walk, run, ride bikes, or even fish which I prefer to do when coming to this park so I recommend anyone to go if your looking to do activities.

Love this place for the mtb trails. It’s good for any kind of mtb or gravel bike even if you got the skills. However. Was out there today and came across an entire section of trails that were heavily damaged by horses walking on muddy trails. I’ve been riding this place for years and the only people I see doing maintenance on the trails are other mountain bikers. Would be respectful to other trail users if people with horses would avoid them when they are muddy. 6 inch deep potholes from horse hoofs is aggravating.

One of the few spots in Philly that mentally takes ya out of Philly, it was one of my favorite spots to go when I lived up NE for a few yrs
