Nova Place

DO NOT park here. We were on the North Shore last night when a Pirates game and a Pitt game collided so we parked here. Despite being 100 feet from the exit, the bottleneck at the pay terminal and the bottleneck getting out of the structure had us there for 90 minutes after the game ended.

Imagine if there was ANY signage about how to get around the complex using a wheelchair. We decided to eat at Federal Galley after a visit to the Aviary, and approaching the the complex from Buhl Community Park, there is a map. The map has one wheelchair symbol, at the Children's Museum. Which, thanks, I guess? We ended up blundering into a weird shady hallway and through the parking garage to find an elevator, no thanks to the signage.

Awful property management. A bird has been stuck in the building for over a week, pooping on the furniture (some of which is located next to a small bistro that serves food for the building). Despite multiple attempts to contact property management via email and phone, they have done nothing to remove the bird. It has pooped on the furniture and has been helpless for over a week. After speaking with Julie and another manager of the property, it is obvious they do not care. They spoke over me, gave conflicting stories about who was handling it, and told me they were "done with the conversation" after the man on the phone interrupted me while speaking and I told him I was not finished. Would not recommend this place at all.

Nice event space. Spacious, flexible decor. Not a ton of its own flavor but definitely a good room for the flow of a party.

Still can’t believe they had a bird flying around for a week in the concourse at Nova Place. The bird poop was EVERYWHERE! Especially right by the restaurant. I saw the bird fly in the restaurant MULTIPLE TIMES after they closed! For all I know that bird was pooping in the restaurant after the restaurant crew left.

Event parking here is unacceptable. They close all but one of the exits forcing everyone through the same exit. They don't have enough payment terminals so the line getting out is quite frankly dangerous. The owner might blame LAZ parking, but they own the property and can choose whatever parking service they want.

I've been a monthly lease holder through my company for over a year and a half now and Nova Place is easily the worst garage I've had to deal with. They constantly close gates without warning so you can't get in or out, and trying to get through to security is just as much of a pain. Last winter when I went to park in gate 6, the roll-up gate let me in and then closed behind me, but then the lift gate to actually get into the garage was broken, so I was stuck between the 2 gates. I found 3 numbers for security and all 3 numbers I called said they had been disconnected. I had to get out of my car and walk out of the side entrance, swipe my lease card for the roll-down gate, duck under it, and quickly reverse my car to get back out. Then again in the spring I had dropped my wallet (where I keep my lease card) while walking to work and didn't realize it till I tried to leave the garage that night. I had gone up to the main building entrance to talk to security hoping someone mightve dropped my wallet off or if they could at least let me out of the gate since I don't have my lease card. Unfortunately my wallet was gone, but to make matters worse they also didn't let me out of the gate! I was forced to pay for a "missing ticket," with the petty cash I had left in my car! Absolutely absurd! What is the point in registering our cars for the lease passes if they won't even look it up to verify! Worst garage ever, would not recommend to anyone and definitely don't bother getting a lease card.
