Errol Heights Park

Absolutely love ­Errol Heights Park! It’s beautifully designed with a great mix of natural wetland trails, a fun playground and splash-pad for the kids, and relaxing picnic/overlook areas for the whole family. The accessibility improvements make it easy for everyone to enjoy, and the art installation adds a special touch. A true gem in the neighborhood. highly recommend! It would be good to have a few more garbage cans for dogs And their poop bags!

Reopened just before Christmas 2023, Parks did a great job refreshing Errol Heights park. Definitely aimed at kids, the playground has lots to keep them occupied. There is a skate area and a basketball court is on its way. One minor complaint. There were only two trash cans and they were near the restrooms and the skate park. Dog walkers be advised.

A nice newer park in SE Portland. One thing Portland does well is their parks. It was filled with kids and families and lots to do. More shade would be nice but we know trees need to mature. Nice they saved and used the ones that were there. Also, with the water area, means there is duck poop in some areas. Just an fyi if you take your dog since most dogs love delicious dried duck poop.

The trails here are a nice mix of elevations, wide enough for two adults to walk together comfortably and dog friendly. The new boardwalks and wildlife viewing areas are lovely. Would be great to have some benches added for a rest or bird viewing. The park area at the top is not large but it’s very nicely designed including several picnic tables and an extensive play area. Sad to see that several of the boardwalk railings are already tagged. We enjoyed our walk and would come again since we live nearby. Cons: 🌱 Several people had their dogs off leash despite clear signage that leashing is required. 🌱 A few trash cans placed along the trails would help to keep it tidy, especially since it’s dog friendly. 🌱 Parking is on street only.

Very nice park. I hope they're not done with it. For at least parking, I don't know. If the neighbors really like everybody parking up-and-down the street, it is a great park, though. very easy walking trail. And a nice playground for children, only one bathroom, which is not very good.

Need a break from inside or just want to see a new place? Errol Heights park is clean, compact and diverse for its size. A small park and yet has a terrific climbing structure, picnic area, skate zone, and a couple different trails.

* Edit* they fixed the water issue with slash pad/river. Still lack of shade but seems like they are adding more to it. They just built this park and missed the mark, hard…The splash pad is sad. It is like it is barely on. 2 metal slides, no extra shade. There are trees but not enough. Was really excited for this park but very disappointed.
