O. P. Schnabel Park

Came here to watch a few baseball fields and it's a pretty nice park. Baseball fields are in good shape and there is a nice playground and what appear to be a number of trails.

There are deer galore here! Plenty of wildlife and gently-used trails here. No matter what time of day, there always seems to be no end to the visitors: animal or not. Nearby is a nice YMCA for a rest stops or modern restroom not engulfed in wild fauna. Lovely park.

This is a natural park with a number of trails both paved and unpaved. The trails provide some access to the native plants and animals native to the area, but the greatest purpose is to provide access to the larger Leon Creek trail.

Great park, wow, so much there! Sports fields, playgrounds, covered areas, and lots of easy walking trails.

We walk the dogs here allllll the time and they love all the smells and are always super excited when we get close enough for them to smell the area because they know we're going for a fun, long hike. I also walk here alone often and I very much enjoy it. It's big, it's well kept, has multiple water fountains/bubblers to drink from. For you AND for the dog which is so cool. Bikers are always kind and let you know they are coming up from behind. There's so many little off the path trails that so far I'm still discovering new paths, especially as I up my distance from my regular 2 mile to 4 or 6 mile walks/hikes. I definitely recommend checking this place out. I don't take many pictures usually but luckily I have been walking a friend's dog and sending them updates so I do have a few. Enjoy!

This park is a local favorite for everyone in Northwest San Antonio. I used to go here on field trips when I was elementary school age. The hiking is great, and the place is very family friendly. My only critique is that some of the unpaved trails are not well marked, so it can be easy to lose your way, but on the whole, I highly recommend O. P. Schnabel park.

I enjoy going to this park very much. The only downside are the speeding bikers. They’re just zoom by you. They should put speed bumps on the trails so they would prevent that because they’ve come close to hitting me in several times. It’s been my experience that they’re very few that are courteous. It’s almost like you’re in their way because I’m surprised. No it’s mentioned anybody getting hurt yet.
