10-25-2025 I came here to attend Salsa On The Beach (SOTB), last gathering of the year. Loved it! Hosted by the lovely couple, Josh and Kristen, his beautiful partner. What a great activity to bring family and friends of all ages to enjoy music, dancing, healthy (n not so healthy ) food and the changing colors of the sky! Enjoy dancing y’all! : )
loved seeing all the rides at Belmont Park, the old roller coaster. very nostalgic. lots of great little shops, restaurants, coffee shops, souvenir shops, just an all-around awesome vibe
If you’re someone who enjoys starting the day with a coffee in hand and a peaceful walk, this place might become your new favorite. You can stroll through quiet side streets or walk along the ocean, which makes the experience even more relaxing. There’s a nice local feel here, not too crowded, just calm and inviting. If you’re casually into surfing or kayaking, you’ll also find some good spots to enjoy. It’s a refreshing place to reset, take a breath, and enjoy the coastal vibe
I love mission beach. Especially in January. In the summer it's extremely crowded. But still beautiful and fun. Lots of options to eat and shop. In January it's still beautiful with lots of options. Just less crowded. The bathrooms are disgusting though but that's expected
Mission Beach just keeps getting better with the midway and all the restaurants and attractions. Then there's the beach. What more could you ask for? Definitely a pleasant experience with plenty of parking which is hard to come by in San Diego.
Very dirty. Unfortunately, people don't clean up their garbage so trash is everywhere. Shops are ok and the food at most places are mediocre at best. We can buy the same merchandise for significantly cheaper, but it's obvious that tourist areas are overpriced.
The Mission Beach Boardwalk is a fantastic destination and absolutely worth spending time at. The entire path is well maintained, making it perfect for a long walk, a bike ride, or just people-watching along the coast. I was impressed by the variety of good shopping options available; you can find everything from classic beach souvenirs to trendy local surf gear. The absolute highlight, however, is the amusement park. It is awesome and adds a high-energy, nostalgic feel to the beach that you don't find everywhere. Whether you're riding the historic roller coaster or just grabbing a bite to eat by the water, the atmosphere is top-notch. It’s a quintessential San Diego experience that shouldn't be missed!
