Safe Harbor Sunroad

A nice quiet area for the locals to store their boats, yachts, and larger. The gates are locked for added security and it seems only those who rent a space have access.

I get out w Sail Riviera San Diego once and a while. The docks are nice. Friendly boat resident / owners. There is pay to park.

We are long-time residents of Sunroad, located at the East end of Harbor Island, with breathtaking views of the downtown San Diego skyline. General Manager Jim Behun runs a first-class operation, with immaculate, well-maintained docks and facilities and beautifully landscaped grounds. The staff are friendly and helpful. It home to the winter San Diego Sunroad Boat Show, which just ended. Harbor Island is warmer than Shelter Island and isn't as breezy, making it easier to bring a boat into the docks without the strong offshore winds. The location across from the airport is extremely convenient. Nearby are two restaurants, Island Prime/ C-Level Lounge, with outdoor dining, which caters to both locals and tourists, and the newer Coasters, which emphasizes large parties.

Nice place to relax while having your coffee, watching the buildings of the downtown, Coronado bridge, all the boats, people running, cycling or walking enjoying the quietness of the place ..

We have been tenants at Sunroad for around 30 years. Jim Behun was a great Manager of the Marina. The Marina is well kept up, the staff is friendly and helpful. Sunroad is probably one of the better facilities For Yacht owners around San Diego. We trust the new ownership will continue in the same vein as Jim provided for the tenants during his Tenure. Great marina. Well maintained, clean and safe. A courteous and responsive staff is on hand, and it has a really good function room that members can rent out for special occasions. There's a pool, hot tub and outdoor fire, too. I keep my boat here and I'm really enjoying it.
