South Mission Beach Park

less crowded side of the beach because it's for surfers, but if you don't want to go into the water and you prefer a less crowded beach this is the spot .

I absolutely love this park. There is enough space for people not to feel crowded. There are some bit of sting rays out here but so the shuffle and you'll be ok. The basketball court is well taken care of and the volleyball courts are second to none. My suggestion is getting here early if you want to park anywhere near the parking lot. It is small and parking is very limited. Other than that, it's a great park. I always enjoy my time here and my family enjoys it as well

I hate to post this review because my wife and I enjoyed it so much. Awesome beach. Went early in the day during the week and for sunset, it was quiet and nice. Never had problems parking. You can park closer to the pier and roller coaster without problem. Overall a fun time.

Great place to watch sunsets Or boats As good as it gets

This is one of my favorite beaches in San Diego. Huge beach area, hardly ever packed with people. There's room for everyone here. And the water is gorgeous 💜

Got there at 0700 to grab a fire pit. Watch for broken glass bottles buried in the sand. Quiet and peaceful that early. Restrooms close to pits.

Wonderful place to go snorkeling kayaking canoeing or just swimming and fishing
