We were on vacation and went there every day. Very clean park and restrooms. A great place to walk or sit and watch the birds while having a picnic. We met many people walking their dogs, families at the covered playground or fishing. Great way to start the day before we visited the zoo, aquarium or other attractions.
I love Chaparral Park for its walking trails, pond, and big shady trees. I often bring my kids in the early evening to feed ducks or ride their scooters. It’s quiet yet lively enough to feel connected with nature.
Nice park. We walked the perimeter as well as the trails around the golf course.
Came here for the trail around the lake. It’s about a mile around the lake and 1.5 if you go around the fields. Roomy path to walk/run and people were courteous with their space and letting you know if they were passing. Came around 8am. Nice breeze and plenty of people fishing. Great little spot to hang out or get a good work out in.
This place isn’t just a park, it’s like someone took the concept of "public space" and went full bodybuilder with it. It’s huge, loaded with trails, fields, courts, and random areas where you could probably start a flash mob or a medieval joust and no one would bat an eye. Perfect for biking, running, walking, or just letting your kids burn through their sugar rush while you "supervise" from a shady bench. I barely made it through a fraction of it before realizing I’d need a snack stash and possibly a search party to explore the rest. There’s enough space here to accidentally wander into a new zip code. Definitely going back, but next time I’m bringing a cooler, and maybe a GPS tracker so I don’t end up in another city.
Really nice park by far the best one we have gone to in the Phoenix area. Well maintained, lots of ducks, grass and very peaceful. But the negative was a homeless person was camped out in the pavilion by the parking lot. He was taking up alot of the area with junk piled on the tables, overflowing cart and blasting loud music. Made a great experience go mediocre as you couldn't even use the pavilion. Not what I expected for Scottsdale.
Super cool park! I loved all the ducks and pond. They had some different playground toys. Definitely great for Pokémon go players! I’ve attached part of the map for that as well so trainers can see what’s there. 10/10 would go again.
