Came to eat lunch here after visiting WK Pierremont. Shady characters pull up beside you and stare. The first time I thought it was just a one-time awkward encounter. The second time, a guy drove up and made a lewd gesture at me. I yelled at him and he drove off. This is a well known issue at the park, especially in the northern parking lot. I asked someone in law enforcement and they said it’s the crew that got busted years ago in Bickham Dickson Park. If the city knows this, and doesn’t do anything about it, I don’t see how this park can ever be considered safe. Side note: this review was posted once before and Google deleted it. I’m guessing someone at the parks department flagged it. Why not call SPD and fix the issue instead?
Quiet. Good for a walk or bike ride. Maybe for a fish. No toilets. Not highly maintained.
I'm not a health nut or big exercise guy, but I do fish a lot and this place has been great for quick trips after work to fish and relax a bit.
Very nice relaxing park. The Egrets were beautiful. Took my dog there and he enjoyed the walk as well as going for a swim. No bathrooms that I could see. There was 1 picnic table that we sat at. It was in good shape..
Beautiful park for walking and simplicity. Be careful if you have children. Don't let them wander off.
We went walking here and I was not impressed with the trails. There were many ant beds throughout the trail and lots of cracks. There was some questionable activity in the parking area as well. I brought my husband and two children to "check it out". I took them to the Teague trail afterward to end on a happier note.
Great place to run, walk and enjoy nature
