Carefree Boat Club at Harbor Point

New to boating and this is great way to get experience. The family that runs it is terrific and super helpful. The boats are great as well, and the website and reservation system are likewise really user friendly and easy to use and its not that hard to get boats on the dates you want. The dock staff is there to help and super friendly as well. All in all a great experience and highly recommended.

Carefree is the best! All of the benefits of owning a boat, without any of the hassle. Arrive at the marina to your boat that’s clean, fueled and properly maintained. After your boat outing, hand over the keys and you’re done - no cleaning, repairs, or dealing with fuel. It’s truly concierge boating. I choose Carefree because the owners are local, friendly and trustworthy (unlike Freedom, which is corporately owned by a large company). Carefree offers a variety of boat types (fishing and pleasure) and I can take boats out of 5 different locations up and down the coast of the Long Island Sound, including Rye, Stamford, Westport, Bridgeport and Old Saybrook. It’s a treat to boat out of so many locations. 5 stars all the way!

I joined Carefree last year and it was the best decision I made - I can't say enough great things about the company and the people. Mitch, Marybeth, Kevin, Evan and Mark at the Stamford dock are awesome. The program truly is "Carefree" - all the fun, none of the hassle of boat ownership. Kevin, Evan and Mark are always so great about helping me dock the boat in Stamford (and patient) since I'm still learning. Whether you're an experienced boater or a novice (like myself), Carefree Boat CLub is a great way to get out on the water with friends and family in the spring/summer and fall.

We have been members for a two months but have been impressed. The boats in Stamford are clean and in excellent mechanical condition. It's nice to enjoy boating without the hassle of cleaning, gassing up, and docking. Great dock staff in Stamford. Their training is also great for the limited experience boater. Their boats have GPS moving maps as well !

I belonged to Carefree Boat Club during summer 2017. It was AWESOME! The boats are brand new and well maintained, always clean and ready to go. The staff was always friendly and polite. This club is the BEST - no hassle, no fueling, no maintenance, no headaches. 5 stars and then some!

We’ve been very happy with this club. Great boats, staff, and having multiple options for the type of boats and ports is also fantastic. We love that we can get on the water, enjoy our time on the sound then get off and not have to worry about anything like towing, maintence, storage etc.
