Lost Isle

I haven't been to Lost Isle in decades so am giving it a "neutral" 3 stars and can't comment on its present state. But back in the day (1990s) this was one wild and crazy place. Boats from all over would converge on the island and tie up 2 to 3 deep. I took my houseboat out here one summer weekend and got there early enough to tie up to shore. Before too long the prime real estate was gone and people were tying up to other boats, including mine. We would be relaxing inside when total strangers would walk through the middle of my boat trying to get to shore. This was just expected there. Nobody cared. it was just one huge party. Live music, big bar, lots of dancing and people getting crazy. Bikini contests that often went beyond that, etc., etc., etc. Good times. Now I'm too old for that stuff, but I've still got my memories. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the Delta.

This place was the place to be. Good camping spot then get on your Boat/ Jet Ski and venture out and have some fun. Like they say in Vegas.."WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGES, STAYS IN VEGAS". "WHAT HAPPENS ON THE ISLAND, STAYS ON THE ISLAND".

I just saw this and wanted to say Hi.. I remember repairing the water filtration system they have years ago... it’s was cool back then but have not been in a long time.

Was told by an old timer this place used to be known for bad happenings. Now, from a boat's view from the San Joaquin River it appears abandoned.
