Went here for a punk concert and it was great! Beautiful park, plenty of portable toilets, friendly staff, great sound, nice big GA standing area plus plenty of space for low lawn chairs and blankets. The views were OUTSTANDING. There were lots of food truck options, pay for close parking or parking in the neighborhood if you don't mind a walk (please be kind and considerate of the local neighborhoods, let's be respectful guests!). Plenty of security on site, medical care, alcohol tents for 21 plus and free water stations to refill your plastic bottle. Be sure to check ahead of the show for prohibited items. They haven't been doing concerts here very long but they are doing a fantastic job! Will DEFINITELY return
Lovely park with TONS of benches and picnic tables. It was very clean and had amazing views of the sound. The bathrooms were also clean.
Great place to walk around as there are many things to look at. Clean paths, plenty of bathrooms, and the alternative to stairs slides are a hit for the kids!
Lovely little park! Plenty of benches and smooth walkways. Quiet and peaceful, amazing views of Mt. Rainier, and I got to watch some wild seals for a bit there!
The park is great I suppose if you want to just chill at a park near the water. The views are spectacular. Don't go here for a concert though. It's horrible. Literal trash. The venue operator, even though putting on concerts is their business, are complete amateurs. The ineptitude and unprofessionalism is off the charts. Parking and getting in and leaving is a joke. Prepare to sit and wait. One road in, same road out. Not good

The bike trail that starts at Dune Peninsula goes South along the Puget Sound waterfront for 3 miles. The pavement is new for just the first mile. It is super smooth there for rollerblading and you can get up to a very nice cruising speed. I also unicycle there. There is a lovely old ferry boat that is pretty to look at and draw if you are an artist. There are public restrooms every mile or so. This trail is the heartbeat of Tacoma. Large families from all over the world are there enjoying the beautiful views. It has a very different character after dark. I skated all six miles yesterday, ending in the dark. Felt slightly sketchy, but everyone I met was super nice. There is plenty of parking along the way and at either end, North or South. Young people are out in droves, parking their souped up hot rods in the evening. It's the cruising place with 4 star views.
