The Mix

So back in 2015 I started my karaoke journey here on a date many years ago. Sang a few songs then never sang karaoke again until 2022. When I used to live in Tacoma I would come to this bar almost 7 days a week to sing. I'm a KJ now up in Seattle (KJ Double D: Sunday nights at The Crescent Lounge) but hands down I just want to say that The Mix is by far one of the best karaoke bars in the whole state. I've gone to so many different karaoke dives but this place is so unique. The crowd, the sound, the vibes, the friendly atmosphere to The LGBTQIA community. You really can't beat it. I love this place and I hope it's around for many more decades and beyond! My favorite nights to sing karaoke at The Mix is Musical Mondays! If you want to meet theater/choir nerds and queers that is the day to do it! So much fun! Also, the bartenders are amazing, the drinks are affordable and the KJ's are talented. Such a great place!

I was in town to visit and we spent most of our evening at the Mix. Both the bartender and KJs made us feel like VIPs. The atmosphere is electric and the view over the body of water when you're standing on the corner is a sight to behold. If you're a fan of Drag Race get there early! There's nothing like experiencing that show live with an enthusiastic crowd

Cool lil vibes for Tacoma, I enjoyed it the people were friendly and the lady bartender was Hella cool and helpful with curating a drink of my liking. Definitely my go to spot when I'm visiting from California!

The bartender was amazing, really fun and funny, very personable, the music and the vibes were great. Bathroom was a little cramped but otherwise a great place

Wow !!! Prideful of beautiful people were here and it was super fun for a small amount of time! This was last minute ticket and we made it from Seattle Wa. I guess if you see a pride event, then go for it!? Lol Anyways, what a great atmosphere here!!! Great drag shows earlier today!!! People were super friendly!!! Love love love it

Tonight I watched a drunk straight guy harrass two lesbians - including making them take a selfie with him despite them telling him no and looking physically uncomfortable. With the increase in non-LGBTQ patrons on Friday night, what is the Mix Tacoma going to do to keep the space safe for the LGBTQ community? Tonight did not feel like I was visiting a queer bar.

Tacoma's best hangout for the LGBTQ community. This place has a fun vibe, a great staff, and lots of fun activities from nightly karaoke, to drag shows, and theme nights. Be sure to come late for karaoke any night of the week for great songs with amazing hosts. On nice days you can chill on the outside patio for a NW summer vibe. You will want to have this place in your regular visits for Tacoma nights out.
