Great park. Playground was lots of fun for my 2 year old. Rubber flooring under them. Large baseball diamonds that were well manicured. The bathrooms are open. They will suit your needs but do not set your expectations high: no garbage cans inside them and no soap to wash your hands. Bring sanitizer. There are many trash cans throughout the park. drinking fountain was not on nor the bottle filler station. Overall it was a nice pit stop to let the kid get some energy out.
I go for walks with my mom and my kids there when the weather permits the geese are adorable but they poo way to much on the sidewalks ...if only they were pond trained there are lots of Pokémon stops and like 5 gyms for raid battles (im addicted worse than my kids)shh! Dont tell them lol
Had a blast Waterloo. Thanks for the good time. 14u and we won the championship.
My daughter plays tball here, very clean and safe.
Nice well kept and popular picnic site for small town Waterloo.
I had a family reunion there the weekend of August 4&5. Had family from all over came for the event. The park was very clean. The Prevail was great. I ike the way how big it was for my family. I the way the volleyball area was set up. There are only two issues I had with that is if that area. (1.) Need more parking space so that when other guests arrived they shouldn't have to park in front of other cars that's already parked ( Neve know when an emergency come up) (2). I think that area should be off limits to others when you have a big event when you have kids everywhere having fun. I know it's a public park, but when you have people that you don't know hanging around, acting strange while drinking, that's not good in my book. (3) I think that there should be a sign place in the area of the event so that other people know it's a private party. Waterloo Chamber of Congress I used to be a resident of Waterloo, Ia 30 years ago, when I was there for Mt family reunion, I was shocked on how the city had expanded. Keep up the good work on keeping the city safe and clean. Please give the city workers a shout-out for what they do every day. There is one more thing that needs address also. The restrooms needed to have doors on them.
What an amazing park! I didn't have trike riders but if you do, the track is adorable (it's like a street for tricycles with street signs and lanes). There's an enormous open space where we threw frisbee and the dogs loved it! Looking forward to trying out the sand volleyball court sometime too.
