I always see this park on my way to work crossing the bridge. My sons and I decided to pay a visit. Amazing place. Clean, Fresh air and most importantly my sons love it.

This park is very easy to get to with a great view of the Whitestone. Tons of places to sit and relax. Thankful that there are bathrooms available. Could see the basketball and pickle ball courts beyond the playground in the middle. Super friendly for families and dogs alike.

There was an event in the park at the time of my weekend visit, so it was more crowded than usual and street parking took some effort. Still, it’s a very nice city park with beautiful views of Whitestone bridge and Long Island Sound, small sandy beach is one of the park’s attractions. History of the park is remarkable too: former Smith estate was purchased to make way for the bridge construction and some part of it become Francis Lewis Park (named in honor one of co-signers of Declaration of Independence). Parks is located in nice residential neighborhood that may be worth strolling around on its own merit.

We loved loved the place There is enough benches, even some with the tables which would be very easy if you’re going with the mood of eating. The other thing I loved about the place is since it also is close to water and a bit of sand when I didn’t wanna take my toddler to beach. This was a perfect escape.

Francis Lewis Park is a peaceful hidden gem in Whitestone with stunning waterfront views of the Whitestone Bridge. The park is clean, well-kept, and offers a nice mix of open green space, shady trees, and walking paths. It’s perfect for morning walks, picnics, or simply sitting by the water to watch the boats go by. The playground is great for kids, and there’s plenty of seating for relaxing. A beautiful, calming spot to escape city noise without leaving Queens.

Small neighborhood park with beautiful sunsets. Gets crowded but it’s NY so nothing abnormal. Nice in the summer when kids can play and enjoy ice cream while you enjoy the a little bit of nature.
