Dallas Shady Oaks RV Park & Tiny Home Community

Nice gated park with decent sized lots. Staff are always friendly and quick to act on any concern you have. I have stayed here every time I come to Dallas. Only downside is they have few amenities and hardly any grass for the dogs to walk. I will be returning.

The main draw of this place for me was the gate. It gives some great peace of mind but it's absolute torture trying to get anything mailed in; you're better off sending it to the post office down the road and getting it there. Someone is almost always available through text messages with anything from power issues (happened twice in 3 months for me) to the gate not closing (happened twice) to mail issues. The location is rather new so there are some things that it doesn't have (yet?) like a laundromat or propane filling station, but there are a few locations nearby to pick up the slack. The 3 stars isn't because Shady Oaks is bad. It's actually quite good for what it has, my issues stem from what it doesn't have and the difficulties I had dealing with recent delivery services despite other RV parks I've stayed at not having the same issues. It's secure, relatively quiet, clean, and there's no contract for long-term stays. Shady Oaks is good, but there's a lot that it could do better with time.

We would stay there again. Nice tight urban park with long term folks in the periphery and transients in very nice back in sites in the middle of the part. Some traffic noice but the residents are very quiet. Outstanding sites in the middle have a 6 foot wooden fence around three sides and an 8 foot iron bar gate in front. 8 foot wide strip of grass running the length of the site; we let our two small dogs have the run of the site with the gate closed. Staff and check in were awesome; very responsive on the phone, as well as empathetic and friendly. The only issue we had was the walk in gate jam was bent and made getting the walk in door open difficult; also the door knob was very loose and about to fall off. Overall 4 stars, 5 without the gate problem. We’ll be back.

It's a good place to stay. It's right by 175 and 15 to 20 minutes to the Texas State Fair. It's very easy to find you come 35 North 35 East to 20 East to 175 West. Don't believe everything everybody says about the state fair it's absolutely fantastic a lot of fun we got some pet products from fabulous Paws and the arts and crafts pavilion by the main stage lots of great product this year

I stayed here for 3 months. I really enjoyed my time, this campground it’s close to a lot of stores and easy to get from the interstate. I had great neighbors as well. Plus the campground its gated. I highly recommend this place!

Loved my experience here for the short RV life we had lived, only complaint was the music coming from the house directly behind the RV park. It wasn’t the RV parks fault, everyone was nice and welcoming would still book a stay if I didn’t have kids!

I booked this rv park 4 weeks before we were coming to stay. 6 days before we are supposed to arrive I get a text saying the spot they booked us in is no longer available and they want to move us to another location. We are coming I. For a wedding which is why I booked this location. They had no other spot what so ever to accommodate us in and she was short and not to helpful and just said they could refund us. Now I’m left with no where to stay 6 days before the wedding. Super frustrating.
