Brooklyn Film Camera provided the Polaroid station at our wedding, and they were absolutely fantastic. From the moment they arrived, the team brought a lighthearted, welcoming energy that immediately got our guests excited and fully engaged. Everyone leaned into the photography spirit, and it became one of the most joyful, interactive elements of the night. We opted to pay extra for the photo copies, and it was completely worth it. Having both guest keepsakes and copies for ourselves is something we’ll treasure forever. The photos capture such candid, happy moments from the evening. They also created a custom stamp for our Polaroids, which added such a thoughtful, personal touch to the experience. Not only did it make the photos feel truly bespoke to our wedding, but it’s also a keepsake we can reuse on our thank-you stationery moving forward. The team was a pleasure to work with—easygoing, professional, and genuinely fun to collaborate with. We’re so glad we included Brooklyn Film Camera in our celebration and highly recommend them for anyone looking to add a unique, meaningful element to their event.

BFC is hands down my favorite camera shop. Beyond the spacious, well designed interior, the lovely backyard, and the extensive collection of well-tested film cameras, what really makes this place special is the staff. I’ve been a loyal customer for 2 years, and in that time two people in particular stand out: Dan and Keith. They are consistently kind, incredibly knowledgeable, and always so fun to talk to. They never make me feel rushed or silly for asking questions, no matter how basic, and they always take the time to help thoughtfully, going above and beyond to resolve whatever Q or issue I may have. They’ve made BFC feel like a true "third space" I actually enjoy visiting. Bc of them and the BFC staff in general, I’ve become even more excited to keep shooting film.

I love this place. If you’re a novice or a professional you’ll find a really great assortment of cameras, Polaroids, gear/accessories. They also develop film so you can drop off here! The staff is so helpful and have always led us in the right direction and walked us through any purchase. Bought a Pentax k1000 here (I shot with this in college so I’m rusty) and they’ve also helped with purchasing the right lenses for it. Love their yard sales in the backyard, there’s usually music and beer for purchase and a really cool assortment of items for sale. I’ve gotten old film slides and manuals there during it. They also have a photobooth which we always do on our visits. They are one of my favorite places to visit 🙂

I would highly recommend Brooklyn Film Camera for film development and scanning services! I just moved back to the city and have been looking for the right place to trust with my film, as I’m really particular and want to make sure developing is in the right (skillful) hands. BFC is definitely one of the best with respect to skill and high-quality results, as well as customer service and cost. The turnaround time for b&w development and scans is pretty standard and the pricing is super competitive. The store is also a great spot to buy film, and they have an awesome analogue photobooth!

We've been into the shop a couple of times, but have placed many online orders. In person the shop is super charming, and a really enjoyable place to see. There's a nice backyard area that fills up when they have big sale events. All of our online orders arrive crazy quickly (Brooklyn to Brooklyn shipping for the win), but more importantly everything has been in good working order. Exactly as described online. Keep film alive!

Was kinda excited visiting the store and heard good things about it through social media. However, it’s been a week and still haven’t recieve my scans back as the website stated there would be a typical 3-4 days turn around. I dropped my film on Saturday and did contacted the store on Thursday the week after and they said that the lab closes on weekends, which is understandable, but I was ensured that I would get my results no later than Friday. UPDATED: Amazing customer service, I was contacted immediately after the review I left, and had my problem resolved in quick manner.
