100/10 - NYC Film Lab is my go to lab, they truly care about their customers. They take the time to answer all of my questions and truly provide an amazing experience. I receive my scans ahead of their projected timeframe. Let me not forget to mention that my scans come out on point. You can never go wrong trusting them.

I don't like having to write this review, but I can no longer support this lab. I was roughly two weeks late in picking up my negatives and was informed they had already been discarded. I understand the need for the policy as I'm sure space is limited, and I know it's not their fault that I was distracted by events in my own life and forgot to pick them up, but the lack of any communication before they were tossed is in my opinion extremely unprofessional. This is a huge disappointment as their processing and scanning has been great, but I can't in good conscience trust a lab that operates this way.

I swear by this lab; I recommend NYC Film Lab to everyone that asks about my work. I love them! Even though I'm only a hobby photographer they take me seriously and understand what I need. I think at this point I've sent them a few hundred rolls and I can honestly say they have a perfect track record. They're exactly what I need in terms of quality and speed. Their TIF scans are also phenomenal. I recommend going that route; spend a little more and get TIF scans. I find myself editing this review multiple times because I can't express how good they are compared to other labs in the area. They're also the first to offer ECN-2 processing in NYC so if you want to shoot some real cine film, go to them. They know what they're doing and even offer pull and push services for ECN-2 if you have multiple rolls.

This is where we go to get our film developed - we drop it off and they send back the digitals, which is perfect because we don’t care about the negatives. They will also do that though if you want a legit service.

Prices are super reasonable, quality is excellent, turnaround times are solid, and the employees are friendly. Everything from the answers they had for my questions to the adorable boxes the film comes back in tells me they really care. They've earned a regular right away

Very professional. Received my digitals and prints incredibly fast and packaged so nicely. A little pricey but well worth it.

To me, a film lab should provide a feeling of safety—a place where people have so much experience that no matter the problem, they know the cause and the solution. With a professional approach to film, there are many variables, and the only way through is with clarity. I have been using NYC Film Lab as my main lab because of their familiarity with the ECN2 process and supply of Silbersalz film, while being very reasonable price. I have processed about 50 rolls now with NYC Film Lab, and some came back with results that I wasn’t expecting. I am happy to report that together with the lab, I was able to look at the film strips and figure out which film was actually expired or damaged, or which could be improved with a re-scan. While our relationship is only starting, It’s already very fruitful. Looking forward to our further collaboration! FYI: - X-large TIFFs are full scans from the Noritsu scanner, which are 16-bit and around 6k resolution. - Pro Camera Scans are DSLR scans that are even larger, with around 12k resolution and 12-bit, but with overscans that you will have to crop. Scans attached are unedited 35mm scans from the Noritsu in ECN2, C41, and B&W. The white border is ECN2 on Pro Camera Scans.
