I had the absolute best experience working with Dark Moon Studio in Fort Collins. From the moment I walked into Lisa’s gorgeous studio, I knew I was in creative heaven. The space is layered with rich colors, beautiful textures, and so many thoughtfully curated options that it feels like stepping into your own personal editorial set (I was ready to be a model!). Working with Lisa Gullo was truly transformational. Her warmth, confidence, and artistic eye made the entire experience feel effortless and empowering. My partner joined me for several shots and it was such a wonderful, connective experience. Lisa guided us in a way that helped us discover poses that felt natural, sexy, playful, and fully aligned with who we are and who I am. I didn’t feel "posed" — I felt seen. Her makeup artist, Carissa, was phenomenal. The glam was polished yet authentic, enhancing rather than masking. Add in the stunning wardrobe options and Lisa’s intuitive direction, and the entire experience felt luxurious from start to finish. The investment was absolutely worth it. I walked away with breathtaking, professional images — and an even stronger sense of confidence. I truly felt like a Vanity Fair goddess (and still do!). I cannot recommend Lisa and Dark Moon Studio enough, and I already can’t wait to book my next session.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I've worked with Lisa twice now - once for boudoir and once for branding photos and I have been absolutely blown away both times! Her vision, dedication and talent are second to none. I will continue to utilize her artistry for updates and branding for years to come. Her aesthetic is everything (for my modern witchy, moody ladies!) but she also knows how to keep things fun and light! Her reactions while photographing you make you feel like a star - her whole body gets into the work and you can just feel how passionate she is about it - and it makes you light up too! I can't say enough positive things - HIRE HER!

I’ve known Lisa for years and always admired her Fine Art style of photography. When I wanted a special photoshoot for my mother and I (a la Vanity Fair), I knew Dark Moon Studio would be able to deliver! From start to finish, Lisa provided a high-end experience, complete with beautiful hair and makeup and an incomparable client closet; all of these came together to deliver a timeless and classy look even before the photos began. Working with Lisa during the actual shoot itself was fun, well-directed and full of authentic interactions, which made the entire experience a blessing from start to finish. GURL THE PHOTOS. I cried. My mother cried. My best friend cried. I think I even saw my dogs shed tears of happiness. The editing is beautiful, the moments captured even more so. I cannot recommend Lisa and Dark Moon Studio enough. If you’re on the fence? Just DO THE THINGA and book with Lisa. You won’t be disappointed!

Look no further - seriously. From start to finish, Lisa was genuinely a joy to work with. She talked me through the process (I did a Boudoir shoot with her) making sure I understood my options, the timeline, etc. Once booked, she sent a very detailed (but not overwhelming) email with everything I'd need to prepare which I was very impressed by - she thinks of every detail. Day-of she made me feel so comfortable- she would demonstrate poses, get excited along with me, and just made it an overall fun experience. Her studio so thoughtfully crafted and has a great "feel" to it. She is so very talented as a photographer and really has a vision - she brought out the best in me. I was truly wow'd by the photos. She's not pushy or salesy. I could ramble on about how great she is so as I said...look no further!!

Lisa is AMAZING! Doing my maternity shoot with her was such a fun and glamorous experience. I was 29/30 weeks pregnant in these pictures, not feeling the cutest but Lisa turned it around! She styled me in what I felt comfortable in, her studio has multiple backdrop options, I loved that she posed me so I didn’t feel awkward, AND I got the photos back super quick. She is talented and her pictures and experience are so worth it! 100% recommend doing a maternity shoot with her, she will make you feel like a QUEEN!

As a full-time working mom, I had a hard time justifying time and money towards myself but the entire experience was absolutely wonderful. The shoot was incredibly empowering, and the final product/ album captured everything - the mood, light, and all around joy. All because Lisa is excellent at her job. So if you're reading this, just jump right in. You will love it.
