The Lumen Room Fort Worth : College Ave

Great little space! Clean and had a ton of amenities to utilize! Parking was plentiful and the area was very quiet for being in a neighborhood. Looking forward to shooting here again!

The lighting was nice in this place for family pics, even on a cloudy day. The place was not very clean, however. There was food in the trash can, urine all over the bathroom floor, and it smelled. The floor was also not the cleanest and cracked in a few places.

This venue was FANTASTIC! The space is beautiful, with natural light flooding in three directions. So helpful not having to rent/bring in furniture, and such a great price for what’s included! The area was perfectly cooled upon arrival (super important with so many layers of clothing during a hot TX summer). And free parking right across the street! Highly recommend! Can’t wait to try another location for our next family photoshoot!

The blue backdrop has about 2 inches of what looked like water damage at the bottom of it… the white backdrop had a few damaged looking spots as well. The lighting in the studio was beautiful and so we’re the couch options. Loved the stools as well. Took a couple of stars off for the damaged backdrops. This should be fixed for the price it costs to rent the studio.

The place was absolutely beautiful but unfortunately the AC was not working this past weekend when my husband and I booked our session with a local photographer at the college ave venue…they had units to blow air but after about 30 mins it was just hot air circulating. Our photographer said this was not normal so I assume she was unaware but I wish we were notified prior so we could have rescheduled. We had a family shoot and I told our photographer I wanted something inside with AC since our 10 month old gets fussy if he gets hot… unfortunately he was over it not too long in as we could see his cheeks were getting red from the heat. Truly we should have been notified prior of the situation so we could have rescheduled…
