Loft Creative Studios

I’ve used Loft Studios multiple times as a photographer and loved my experience each time. The quality of the set-ups, the props and the studio as a whole is top tier. Each room has a plethora of different styles to lean in to. I’m so glad Louisville has this option 💕

This new studio is absolutely beautiful. Great natural light, a variety of options and nicely furnished. There are also paper backdrops for photographers to use in a variety of colors. The Loft is an amazing place - my client and I really enjoyed renting the studio for her maternity session! The only recommendation I have is to Google Leaven Bakery to find it- The Loft is located above the bakery, not the address shown currently on Google.

Loft Studios is a FANTASTIC location to do photos at - there's high quality lighting equipment available, 4 different wonderful studios and each one can accommodate you for whatever you may need. My client needed a last minute location change due to the weather (when it was flooding EVERYWHERE), and Jen was AMAZING to accommodate us. We were able to do same day scheduling and she was wonderful to talk to especially when we needed to extend our time due to conflict. If you need a spot to do photos at, trust me when I say going here is a great decision!

I was really excited to try out the self studio, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my experience with the studio itself, Jen, and the staff member who was there during our visit. When we arrived, the doors were already unlocked and we didn’t need to enter the PIN code we were given, which felt a bit disorganized. The staff member at the front desk didn’t acknowledge us at all, not even a glance or greeting, which made the experience feel impersonal right from the start. The equipment worked fine, but taking photos without a remote was frustrating. You either need someone else there to take your photos or rely entirely on the timer, which really limits what you can do. After the session, it took over a week to get my photos. At one point, I even offered to stop by with a USB drive to make things easier, but that was declined. Text communication wasn’t working, so I had to follow up by email. It was disappointing to have to chase down something that should’ve been handled more smoothly. This studio has potential, but the lack of basic customer service and follow-through made it a frustrating experience overall.

A HIDDEN GEM! My friend and I shoot here all the time and this studio is absolutely amazing! All of the rooms are so beautiful and the decor is perfect. The customer service is also amazing to talk to if you need anything extra or to reschedule. Could not have found a more perfect spot in Louisville to be creative!

**This is NOT a reflection of our photographer but of the studio operation - she tried her best to make it work and I could tell she was anxious about the state of the studio and the quality of the shoot. I haven’t gotten the photos back but I don’t doubt her expertise will get us back at least a couple good ones.** As I understand it, ownership recently changed at this studio and the new owners are either still getting up to speed or are not running the studio at the same caliber as the last owners. I’m not kidding when I say the doorknob to our studio space was taped onto the door and fell off when we tried to leave lol. Our studio space also did not have a white backdrop available (which is crazy to me because I feel like that should be standard? It was out getting replaced or something but the studio didn’t give our photog a heads up and literally all my inspiration pictures that I had sent to them had a white backdrop). Will likely not use that space again when we do photos in the future - will just stick to outside.
