The Dark Room

The perfect spot to catch a weirdo show! Always a great option for something interesting when you want to do more than just drink your way through the Mission again...they have shows most weekends and I've never seen a show there that I did not enjoy. Space is small and intimate, the productions are super strange and funny, and everyone involved is committed! Do yourself a favor and check it out.

You are coming with me to the darkest, tiniest, most missiony theater in the West: The Dark Room on Mission St. This non-traditional black box theater has everything from Carrie Live to musicals about being broke in SF. I stumbled upon this theatre randomly while I was out with friends. The movie had already started but luckily we were let in. Without attracting unnecessary attention we found our seats and enjoyed the remaining 65 minutes of the movie. It was really great.

I found their comedy night mixed, but hilarious in places and very good value. I recommend for a fun night out.
