Big shoutout to JD, Brendan, and Shawn - what an incredible crew at Necto! We’ve DJ’d Indian nights, Diwali, and other various South Asian events for Umich affiliated clubs - last night for Ross business school and the team at Necto has treated our DJs incredible for the past 3 years! Truly blessed to work with such an amazing staff at Ann Arbor’s best night club. Can’t wait to see them again in 2026!

Lively, upbeat, and above all, fun! This 3 story nightclub imbedded in a historic Ann Arbor building boasts an electric atmosphere that is immediately noticeable as soon as you get through the front doors. There is simply no better place in town to dance and socialize. It features well-vetted DJs whose sets align perfectly with choreographed visual effects that are guaranteed to drop your jaw all the way to the floor! There are reasonably priced, well maintained pinball machines on the upper levels that add a fun unique touch to the space (a nightclub with an arcade feature?? Let’s go)! It is clear that ownership values safety, inclusivity, and entertainment in every corner of this spacious venue. If you’re looking for an exciting place where you can let go and forget about your worries for a while, look no further - Necto provides something that we all need and deserve.

Frequency Saturdays state: "EDM in the red room" — we booked a hotel in Ann arbor to be able to attend and get a fun dance night of EDM which is hard to find around Michigan. Sadly the red room never actually played any EDM. It was the normal pop-rap hip-hop that has taken over the clubs in the US on both the main stage and the red room. Overall a fun night out, good drinks at 2x the price you’d expect which is normal for a club. With respectful helpful bouncers and efficient kind staff. Just disappointing they are incorrectly advertising their red room music. If anyone knows of a club that plays actual EDM let me know!

Great staff, fun music, and a solid atmosphere. Everyone was welcoming, the vibe stayed upbeat all night, and it was an easy place to have a good time. Definitely a spot I’ll keep going back to.

The music is horrible (unless you go around 10 PM but no one is there at that time). The only seating is in the lower levels but it's almost always full and smell heavily of weed. I've had more fun dancing in a parking garage than here. There's also a $30 entrance fee for anyone 18-20.

It’s okay, it’s probably most popping on the gay and emo nights. I have had my fair share of parties here, and I am all partied out. This is definitely one of my better club experiences, much better than the likes of Elektricity in the sense that this nightclub really has something for everyone. It’s a cool multi-level club with an outdoor smoking/seating area and has varying events and djs on rotation. No two times will be the exact same. However, just as it be with any club environment you do run into people who do not have your best intentions at heart and so it’s always best to tread lightly. I think the location being right downtown is one of the things that makes this location top tier, you can bus in either from Ypsilanti or other parts of Ann Arbor and take those same respective bus rides back home or wherever you’re staying.
