One of the greatest live music venues in the mid Atlantic. Ive been going to the Ottobar since 2000 and have seen countless bands there. I recently brought my new show Rosemary Street Series to film at the Ottobar. The owner Tecla is one of the nicest and coolest owners ever. She even stepped in and played a character in our bar scenes witb Gina Schock the drummer of the Gogo's and Donna Jean Rumbly from 100.7 the Bay. I even cast local legend Mary Bass from WJZ/CBS to play a cameo role at the bar. Best, venue, best live music, best pool tables, best musician/artist vibe. Come check out the Ottobar you wont be disappointed.
I saw Los Angeles Power Disco and TWRP and had a fantastic time. I haven't been to many venues this intimate that also had a decent size balcony, which had a lot of seating options. The wooden bench in the front is understandably quite hard, but compared to standing all night, and to get that unobstructed view? Super comfortable.
First time at this club and it was only 5 minutes from our hotel The Study at Johns Hopkins. If it was warmer weather in the summer I would have walked. Went for New Year's Eve and danced my butt off. Strong drinks, nice people!
Awesome venue. Just the right size, acoustics are great, small balcony and a little side spot to sit if you're old like me and need to sit for a bit. The bar and bathroom areas give you a good view of the stage, but cut the noise down enough to hear, and also have some seating of, again, you're old, like me.
Went upstairs for a drink with my friend. Bar tender was beyondddd rude. Wouldn't let anyone sit at...weird...the bar. Wanted it clear so people could order. Should we tell her/they/them that people have been sitting at bars for the longest time and still manage to order? They were short, had no patience, wasn't even busy with anything, and again just rude. We left and wouldn't recommend. So many friendly, welcoming, fun spots in Baltimore! Don't need to visit this one
Came here from Jersey for the Indigo De Souza concert and it was amazing!! The venue was small and intimate and everyone who works here is so sweet! Our bartender Grant was very efficient and kind! Made the best drinks all night! Also shoutout to Randy (stage name "Candy") for also having such great energy! Overall, the entire experience was memorable, comfortable, and easy-going. Highly recommend for a chill and exciting night out! The music in the bar/club upstairs was fire and the vibe was perfect! Whether you are in town or from out-of-town definitely check this place out!!!
Great experience overall! Bands were awesome, and the venue was so cool! However, it does get VERY HOT inside, they have free cold water and a bunch of fans to help with that. Floor gets very wet and slippery, but none the less amazing experience, and I will be back.
