The Point Boston

Great food, friendly staff — but 😩 incredibly slow service Stopped by The Point BBQ, Bar Food & Beer for the first time during my lunch break. The atmosphere was inviting and the staff were genuinely warm and friendly. However, the service was painfully slow. Even though the place wasn’t busy, it took forever just to place our order.. It also took a while for the food to come out, which made the whole lunch stressful. 🙌🏽The saving grace? 🤗The nachos 😛— easily the BEST I’ve had in downtown Boston. Big portion, great flavor, totally hit the spot. I’d come back for them again, but only when I’m not on the clock. Definitely not a lunch-break spot. Good food, nice staff, but way too slow.

What a fun spot! Whether you're bar hopping, need a quick bite, want to dance or even listen in to some live music, they really have it all. I usually end up here getting a few drinks with the girls and the nachos are also our go-to due to the portion they give, and they're only $15! Super tasty, drinks are great too. The Strawberry Basil has my heart and I hope they never remove it. The people here are super friendly too. You get to seat yourself and then there's always like 3 servers always walking around and checking on people. One night, we even got a free round of shots!

Came in here to warm up but ended up ordering a watermelon drink that was very good, lots of depth in flavor. The fries were great as well.

Despite a short window of time to plan, the Point helped us create a truly magical holiday party for our school staff. Chris worked closely with us to curate a menu that everyone enjoyed and was incredibly easy to communicate with throughout the process. When we arrived, the space was beautifully decorated for the season, and the staff welcomed us with open arms. The food was delicious, and the drinks were just as lovely. The staff went above and beyond to make the night special—and when our private event ended, we happily stayed downstairs until nearly closing time. I’ve already been back and will always look to the Point when planning a special moment. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We stopped in for a late lunch. The service was excellent, friendly and prompt. The server was the first person I have had ask me about food allergies, and when I responded yes further inquired if the fries being prepared in the same oil as calamari would be a problem, or should she offer something else. Virtually no one understands the severity of a shellfish allergy, so thank you. I had a bloody Mary which was huge and tasty. My partner had a gin and tonic, which he reported was also well prepared. He had a crispy chicken sandwich, which he enjoyed. I had the meatball sub without cheese and it was ok. Bland sauce, to me. The fries were crispy and golden. I could not finish my meal, so to me the portion was large. Lively spot with multiple TVs playing sports programs. Live music in the evenings. Lunch special of half price sandwich if you order a drink. Despite arriving after the cutoff time, I noticed our service had given us the discount. I'd give it another try and try something different on the menu next time.

I went to a private event at The Point on Presidents Day. The venue, food and drink were all excellent. I want to give a personal shout out to Andrea our mixologist for the night. She made some excellent drinks and even gave us one of her own creation which we all decided to call it the M'Lady drink. Yum! Thank you Andrea! Would definitely recommend this place for just an after work drink or a private event. Upstairs was perfect.

This is a tough review to leave. I came here while visiting Boston for my first time. Looking for a 49ers friendly bar. And it is. BUT I witnessed a troubling event. Young lady by all accounts was sober but was "86d". Honestly it seemed like a jealous uptight cat fight bar tender. I definitely can’t recommend this place and for sure won’t be back. There are lots of amazing bars in Boston. Skip this one.
