Customer Reviews
Kit Kat Club has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 based on over 1511 reviews on Google
Kit Kat is always a nice experience. The beautiful performances and a nice crowd. The new venue is much spacious than before and very inviting. The drinks are excellent and the food is good. I will say book a reservation, don’t bother with the advertised tickets on their website it’s not necessary for dining. EventBrite charges taxes and fees that will not be applied to your bill and worst part you will be limited to the PrixFixe menu that is given to guest who book from Groupon (listed on menu). So to avoid the unpleasantries that can come with being viewed as parsimonious (coming from someone who works in the industry as well) just book a standard reservation where you can enjoy the menu a la cart and pay the business directly. Overall i enjoyed my time.
If you’re in Chicago and haven’t been to KitKat, you’re seriously missing out! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is electric — colorful lights, amazing music, and an energy that makes you feel like you just stepped into the heart of the city’s nightlife. The drag performances are absolutely phenomenal — fun, fierce, and full of personality. Every performer brings something different, and the crowd is always hyped. Pair that with creative cocktails (their martinis are next-level!) and delicious food that’s way better than you’d expect from a supper club, and you’ve got yourself an unforgettable night. What really makes KitKat special is the atmosphere — it’s inclusive, vibrant, and full of joy. Whether you’re out celebrating, on a date, or just grabbing drinks with friends, you’ll leave smiling. ✨ Tip: Make a reservation early, go for dinner before the show starts, and don’t be afraid to dance a little — everyone does!
I had such a great time at Kit Kat Lounge! The whole place has such a fun and welcoming vibe from the moment you walk in. The drag shows were incredible — full of energy, talent, and so much personality. You can tell the performers really love what they do, and it makes the whole experience unforgettable. I ordered the avocado toast and it was seriously one of the best I’ve had — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly put together. The drinks were great too! The staff was super friendly and attentive without ever feeling pushy, and they really helped make the night even better. The atmosphere is colorful, upbeat, and just full of good energy. It’s the perfect spot to go with friends, celebrate something, or just have a fun night out. I can’t wait to go back!
Drag is an art form. Dining is an art form. Creating an enjoyable and hospitable atmosphere is an art form. And in all these forms of art, Kit Kat Lounge excels! Let’s start with the space. The Kit Kat has called the corner of Waveland and Halsted home for a number of years, and yet the space still feels fresh, vibrant, and inviting. And the food - we began with a small donut, a beignets, the was accompanied by a raspberry sauce. Second course was a well executed Caesar salad. And for the entree we had many, maybe ten entrees to choose from - so something for everyone. Brunch includes unlimited Champaign or margaritas or bloody Mary’s as well as juice. And there are other additional options like martinis and shots. And then there is the entertainment! A fabulous all trans cast of performers dance, lipstick, and interact with patrons throughout the two hours. There were coworkers celebrating a milestone, people celebrating birthdays, a group of women out with a bride to be, groups of friends celebrating life. And others celebrating anniversaries. A mixed crowd from 21 to late 70’s, gay and straight, ethnically diverse and all truly enjoying the moment, each others company, and having a great meal and good time. Highly recommend you check out drag brunch at the Kit Kat lounge - or stop by other times as well, as the food is always delicious and atmosphere vibrant and welcoming. Note: they will be moving to a new location in the same neighborhood soon.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been going to Kit Kat Club since June of 2010, and it’s been a favorite of mine for years. The entertainment has always been top-notch — fun, high-energy, and consistently excellent. The menu is solid, with something for everyone, and the quality has remained great through the years. The new location is absolutely stunning — beautifully designed, well thought out, and incredibly comfortable. It still has all the charm and energy that make Kit Kat so special, just elevated to a whole new level. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out. This place never disappoints!
We came for the Diva Brunch during the annual Pride Parade. We sat outside underneath the pergola and it was nice to be in the shade and have some respite from the sweltering heat. The servers were all really nice and who doesn’t love some short shorts! I got the breakfast plate which came with over easy eggs, bacon, sausage links, toasted sourdough with jam, and cheesy grits. Everything on the plate was divine, except for the grits which were pretty bland. My friend got the "Big Hot Mess" which was fried chicken thighs, a huge biscuit smothered in sausage gravy, and 2 sunny side up eggs. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was so tender. The drop biscuit was cheesy, super flavorful, and massive! The prices were reasonable given it was Sunday brunch during an event. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you are in the Lakeview and Boys Town area.
If you haven't been to the new Kit Kat, it has an amazing new location with more space and fully decked out. I had the smash burger which was excellent. The performances were also top notch. I was very excited to see the amazing Abigail Beverley Hillz who is not only a beautiful, incredible performer but also a strong advocate of the intersex community. It is definitely a fun place to check out on N Halsted.
