We had a great time at Tin Lizzie’s Turtle Racing over the weekend. The bar was super festive, all decked out for Christmas! We tried some of their Christmas cocktails. I highly recommend the Yule Mule, so good! We ordered the mozzarella sticks and onion rings for apps, both were amazing. They have a wristband deal for 3 hours of unlimited drinks which included a pizza with chips and salsa. Highly recommend the wristband deal, totally worth it for only $40! Turtle races started at 7:45 pm but we got there early at 6 pm to enjoy the full package deal. The turtle races are such a fun time, cheering on for your favorite turtle which are named after the Ninja Turtles! Winners get a free shot! After the turtle races were done, the party did not stop! Shots were being poured out all night and the vibes kept going strong. We had a great time and the staff was very welcoming and kind. Highly recommend for a fun night out with your friends!
I stopped by The Tin Lizzie and it instantly felt like a true neighborhood bar — relaxed, unpretentious, and full of character. The vibe is casual and welcoming, with a solid mix of locals grabbing drinks and people settling in for comfort food. I ordered a burger with fries, and it hit exactly the way you want it to: juicy, flavorful, and satisfying without trying too hard. The portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. It’s simple food done right. The drink selection is strong too, especially if you’re just looking for a cold beer or an easy cocktail to wind down. Overall, The Tin Lizzie feels dependable and laid-back — the kind of place you can return to again and again when you just want good food and an easygoing atmosphere.
Really fun experience! I had walked past Tin Lizzie so many times and was excited to finally check it out. The staff were friendly and we had a fun time at turtle racing. I thought the price ($40) was very reasonable for an open bar for three hours plus pizza. Would be a great group activity.
We hosted a work after party here and the owner Jenny treated us like royalty! The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is awesome especially with all the decorations up. We will definitely be back in the future!
The turtle races certainly are fun and lively, but the highlight of this place is the management and staff. They went above and beyond to throw a party for our recent college graduate. They are just a great bunch of people that did many different things to make the experience stand out. I highly recommend this place for any type of get together.
Always a great time! Recommend buying your drink package at the door rather than online. Great deal, great staff, the best turtles. Recommend hosting your birthday party here!
Came here for the musical night. The ambience was nice. I like the blue fairy lights hanging down. A lot of Detroit Lions decor. Tables on both side and the 3 performers walked in the middle. The singers were better than I expected! They mainly stay in the inside of the restaurant but they also walked to the bar area where there were some more tables. One of them engaged with every table while she sang. The male singer could be a lot better if he didn’t leave the mic so close to his mouth. There were trivia games in between performances. So you were not listening to musical songs the whole time. The ticket ($65) includes one drink and one food item. The choices were pizza and chicken tenders. Food was okay. It’s a little pricey. Glad the singers were good though. Metered street parking outside.
