Southbend Tavern

Southbend Tavern is hands down one of my favorite spots in Columbus! The vibe is always welcoming, fun, and full of energy. The staff is friendly, the drinks are strong and reasonably priced, and there’s always something going on — from themed nights to amazing DJs and performances. It’s a great place to hang out with friends, meet new people, and actually feel part of a community. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual drink or coming out for one of their events, Southbend never disappoints. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a fun, inclusive, and lively bar with great energy every night! 🍸🎶🏳️‍🌈

Awesome place. Love this place to death. Highly recommend it. The bar staff are always super nice. Super friendly as well as their new DJ. Jamie, he is awesome! The sound sounds a lot better than the prior DJ. Sounds like somebody definitely went to school for this and they know what they are doing. Always love this place. Great atmosphere. Great shows! Saturday karaoke is great. The regulars are all very nice people. Lots of Drag Shows.

Let me begin by saying that I am a conservative white Christian, and to make it worse I was born and raised and lived in the south my entire life. I however I believe that love is for ALL! Being that I travel for work I have been all over the country and have been to many bars but this one takes the cake! I’m literally sitting here in dirty clothes (moving for 2 day’s) socks, sandals and enriching I could do to look horrible and everyone could not have been any more welcoming! I saw a beautiful queen outside on the way to Kroger ( I’ll do anything as an excuse to stop) so I asked if I could get a drink. JAMAL the bartender makes the BEST Moscow Mule you will ever drink! The DJs to the QUEENS are top notch! This place is affordable FUN and the best to come as a stranger to a new city!

It's my favorite little feel-good spot. The drinks are very well priced. Every time I go there, I feel as if I am with family. Everyone is made to feel very welcome there. The shows are always a good time. Love Bear happy hour show. So much fun and great entertainment.

Edit: Whoever keeps changing the name of this place to the name of a specific weekend bartender, stop. Great service and better drinks than others around the same low price. Friday's open stage is a favorite; Tuesdays are great too. The most welcoming and friendliest experiences among Columbus' affordable drag bars.
