Twist Lounge Greensboro

Myself and a group of friends wanted to get a few drinks early last night and we THOUGHT this would be the best place to go. We were looking for an establishment that was gay friendly and had a lounge environment compared to Chemistry Night Club. When we arrived, we were denied entry at the door without an explanation and told to come back a later time. I contacted the management team and they saw my message and didn’t respond. The Federal Civil Rights Act of 1964 states that no business (public or private) serving the public can discriminate based on a customer’s national origin, sex, religion, color, race, etc. As an alleged LGBTQ+ establishment I found it ironic that they did not allow 3 gay men into the establishment because they were only catering to the older lesbian community. Thats the definition of bad business practices when this is supposed to be a safe space establishment that should be catering to all LGBTQ+ members during their business hours. I will not be returning to this establishment and will share this experience to my fellow LGBTQ+ friends within the community

Welcoming space with friendly staff and lots of interesting events. One of two gay bars in town and Twist is for sure the step up for atmosphere and a clean space

For LGBT+ spaces in the area, I personally think this one is the best. They've got plenty of events on the calendar, and the place can get real active and fun. Not ranking food because it's not a place I go for meals; I go for socializing and drinks.

We love Twist! Incredibly kind and welcoming atmosphere, super sweet bartender, inclusive events, amazing owner who went out of their way to help return an item we lost. Can’t recommend them enough. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

had a FABULOUS time. staff and patrons alike were friendly and accommodating and i sang my heart out at karaoke. before karaoke began (when regular music was playing), the music was so loud that i had to shout to the person next to me if i wanted them to hear what i was saying.

Twist Lounge was an awesome venue for many reasons... lots of rest employees that were kinj and helpful, it was inclusive and welcoming space for a diverse range of people including the LGBTQ+ community and people with accessibility needs. They have gender neutral bathrooms (1 is labeled men's and the other is labeled gender neutral) that include wheelchair accessible stalls. There are zero stairs in the building, there is a small lip when crossing the front door but otherwise the space is easily accessible. There are accessible parking spots around the corner next to the business Black Ginger and the parking lot is easy to navigate. I loved it and will definitely be going back when I'm in town!

Love going to hang out . They have multiple things to attend like music bingo,trivia, movies and more. The staff is fun and take care of people there. You can be comfortable with just being you they are a very accepting place.
