Park Lane Tavern

We live in Yorktown, and it's been at least eight years since we've eaten at Park Lane; I'm happy to say today's lunch more than lived up to my already delicious memories! I had the Cæsar salad, to which they graciously changed from grilled chicken to grilled steak. Oh, my sainted aunt, the greens were so fresh and crisp, and my steak was perfectly medium rare. So good! My husband had the burger with corned beef and fries - the burger disappeared quickly, but the fries were the revelation of the meal. I don't usually like wedge fries, but these were incredibly crispy on the outside without being mushy on the inside. Definitely in my top ten fries experience! Service was awesome, from reception to our server, who was attentive and friendly. I won't wait another eight years to return!

Park Lane Tavern in Hampton, Virginia gave our large group a surprisingly smooth experience. no small feat considering we’re basically a traveling circus. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect from a tavern: lively, loud, and proudly uninterested in your need for quiet conversation. Honestly, it works. Their beer selection is broad enough that even the pickiest drinkers in our group managed to stop complaining. The pub menu holds its own too. The bangers and mash were solid comfort food, the burger was legitimately great, and the appetizers disappeared so fast you’d think we hadn’t eaten in days. All in all, it’s a fun, energetic spot with good food, good drinks, and the kind of vibe that says, "Relax, you’re in a tavern, not a spa." If you’re after a classic pub experience with a bit of chaotic charm, Park Lane Tavern is absolutely worth a stop.

This place is always busy, and for good reason. The food is amazing, and even though it has a busy atmosphere, the service is still incredible. I highly suggest coming here, just be sure to make a reservation at least 45 minutes out! Find a seat at the bar while you wait!

Came here this evening with my parents. In town for the ISCA swim meet at the aquaplex. Greeted with a smile by the hostess and we were informed that there would be a 10-15 min wait. No big deal at all. Wait time was accurate and we were seated within 15 min. Our server was Amber. She went above and beyond taking care of us! My parents are older and can be quite difficult when out to eat, that didn't bother her one bit! She played right into it, made us feel at ease and welcomed. Food was served hot and in a timely fashion, drinks never ran empty. Perfect amount of attention and privacy during our dining experience tonight. Her upbeat personality and tell it how it is style really made our night enjoyable. When good food is paired with the service she provided our table tonight, it is impossible to fail. I will be telling other swim parents and families in town for the meet to check this place out based on the food and service that Amber provided. What a great place to come and drink beer and eat great food. We had the pretzel sticks to start, then between the 6 of us had the alpine chicken, fish and chips, bangers and mash, corned beef dinner and pizza, everything was absolutely amazing. Our server was great and checked on us frequently without being harassing. Parking is on the street but there are generally enough places to find something close. Inside the main feature is their bar which is great, and the other decor is very tastefully done. Go here you won't be disappointed.

Food was excellent, service ok but, Janice spent the whole time on the other side of the bar. We had to get her attention to get another drink and order food. Other bartenders assisted us also. Atmosphere was good.

I've been coming here for years and it's always great, everytime. I might be a little biased since I had a first date here 8 years ago, who turned out to be the love of my life and we have been together ever since. We come here for birthdays and anniversaries, and we always suggest this place to everyone we know. I love that they have specials every day, and they also have an amazing brunch. I think almost all of our kitchen glasses are from steal the glass nights lol. Their menu and food quality stays consistent, but the only thing I wish they would bring back is their happy hour food specials, they used to have these bomb buffalo chicken sliders that I used to get after work.
