Chez has been an LGBTQIA+ bar/club for many years and through them all, and still today, is a great place. With so many different events that are fun and inclusive, you can’t help but to have a good time.

Not a fan of this place at all. Ended up here after another venue was unexpectedly shut down due to plumbing issues. It’s not many queer choices in CT - so majority of us ended up there. It’s like we took over their space - we were all dressed in white. However, I don’t really care for the vibe here. I’m 32 and a native from Hartford. I’ve been here a handful of times and each time I wish I saved my money. Anywho, I get to the bar waited over 10 mins to order a drink, it was made wrong, and the bartender got a whole attitude. I later found out it was the owner - how pitiful. So I went to the other side, waited another 10 mins, and was skipped over twice before my drink was remade. Also - they played techno, electronica, and house with overlays from the early 2000’s all night. Where is the diversity? I should have called it a night after the plumbing issues.

I always go on the first Friday of every month because it's "LATIN NIGHT," but since it's Latin Night, there should be exclusively Latin music, combined with electronic music, electrohouse, or something more upbeat. They always play ghetto music and boring music. You can't even ask for music that you want to dance to. If there were a better place nearby, I'd definitely change it.

Small gay club but super fun and nice interior design. Reasonably priced drinks and it is not overly crowded. Had a lot of fun there!

I’d really appreciate if someone could call me over this. My total was 89.90 before leaving. Cash tip was set aside and they took over $20 in a tip for themselves days later off of my card. I have proof. All I want is my $ back :/ be careful going here.

very relaxed and welcoming vibe, everything on the menu and I do mean everything is delicious! Karaoke with Joey every Wednesday is always a good time!!!

I've been going here for 20 years now. If it's been a while since you've been to the Chez, I recommend you stop by and see how much has changed. No longer a 'dive bar' or 'dirty old man bar.' They offer many themed events and shows. If you are a fan of Rupauls Drag Race, this is the place to go! Not only is this the home bar for previous cast members of the show. But they also have many of the touring queens come to perform. Advanced sales if tickets are recommended and generally sell out! Additionally, they host competitions and many opportunities for starting queens. The Chez hosts weekly karaoke on Wednesdays. They have every song imaginable. If not, they'll find it for you. Other popular event nights include WUFF and KYNK. They off delicious food from their kitchen. Open late unless an event is happening. There is bound to be something on their menu for everyone, even desert! Great place for LGBTQIA to go on for a date! Parking is not far away. The Chez has their own private lot less than 200 feet from the entrance. Although some might be put off by its location, I've never had an issue .
