The Last Fling

No longer worth going. Teenagers adult enough to work Centennial Beach and run active shooter drills can no longer get a sandwich on their lunch hour. I understand no teens at night. At 1 pm this is now completely devoid of joy. Don’t waste your money.

We tried to bring a diaper bag in which we heard beforehand was fine and allowed. They checked inside the diaper bag and noticed that there weren't any more diapers in there, since we just used the last one, and was told without a diaper in the bag its just a big purse. We weren't allowed in because of that. We were upset and frustrated at the lack of communication. The girl running security at the gate was extremely rude. Our kids were upset that they couldn't enjoy the carnival simply because we used the last diaper and were told basically that the diaper bag was a lie. This place really is a joke. I dont know why Naperville security at these events are treating everyone as if we're criminals. Naperville isnt a high crime town, its a tourist town. Maybe the people you have running security should relocate to Chicago, where crime is actually higher. Ridiculous.

Read before buying tickets! If you are planning to do the unlimited ride special, you can not purchase 1 hr before the special ends. And then its unavailable to buy till the next segment. Just an FYI.

The Last Fling is a wonderful family friendly event. As someone who has volunteered in the beverage tents my team had a blast. We appreciate this event as a not for profit organization since the proceeds come back to benefit the community that we serve. Looking forward to this years event and my team volunteering again!

This organization and festival continue to amaze me with how poorly it is run. Staff only care about them and their friends having a good time, instead of actually doing their job. Make new rules each day because lack of planning. To ban all kids under 18 years old because of lack of planning is an embarrassment. Maybe if volunteers weren’t drinking, they could actually manage the fest appropriately.

Their management office's suggestion is as follows for the carnival: (1) wait in line to ask the ride operator if the safety bars for a ride will close around you, (2) go back and buy tickets, (3) wait around in line again to hopefully ride the ride. I paid good money for a wristband and spent a lot of time in line and wasn't able to ride virtually anything. I was too tall for one and too broad across the chest for another. No refunds to speak of, supposed manager on duty closes her little window when she doesn't want to talk to you anymore. Awful carnival vendor.

The best Naperville outdoor celebration of the year. Music, food, carnival, parade and more four days ending Labor Day! Founded 1966, Jaycees took over 1979-range - creating an event that has donated $2 million or so to local charities since then. Returning as a town local festival on Jackson Street after missing 2020. The first major change of setup in many years brings back free admission (free will donations) and unique location on Illinois original riverwalk.
