SO fun! Thank you Skylar and Alex! A beautiful, well-kept establishment- thoughtfully decorated, excellent curation of music, and engaging events. After our first experience playing darts, dancing, and getting to know the regulars- we know exactly why this place is essential. Can’t wait to be back.

Troupe429 is my go-to spot whenever I'm in Connecticut. I always stop when I'm nearby, but my favorite visit was during their Drop Dead Gorgeous Party in 2019, which transported me right back to Mount Rose, Minnesota. This bar has the warmth and charm of the midwest, but with the world class talent you'd only expect in the Sin Cities. The staff makes a mean espresso martini and are salt-of-the-earth kinda folks- the type that would gladly tow your pontoon back to the dock after running out of gas on a sunset cruise.

I’ve only been to Troupe 429 once, but after a friend recently mentioned that some women or people of color have felt left out here, I felt compelled to write a review based on my own experience. This is a wonderful establishment and one that should be protected at all times. I came with a group of four girls and two guys (of each different ethnicities) We were all dressed provocatively, intentionally because we knew this was a place where we wouldn’t be sexually harassed. All of us were straight women except for the guy, and honestly, we had the most fun we’ve had on a night out in a long time. No feeling of being treated differently. As a woman, I can’t go out dressed provocatively almost anywhere without feeling sexualized. But here? I didn’t feel that at all. The energy was loving, joyful, and safe. People were there to dance, to exist, and to be themselves, not to make anyone uncomfortable. Toward the end of the night, the owners even gave out free pizza, which was such a perfect cherry on top. At one point, I stepped outside and a drunk man from another local bad was being… well, drunk & acting up. One of the owners immediately came out, stepped in, and told him to leave making it very clear that we were protected. That meant everything. Troupe 429 is a place where anybody can dance, let loose, and truly be themselves without fear of being hurt, judged, or disrespected. One thing I will say: be prepared to DANCE. And not just standard club dancing. I mean getting DOWN, going crazy, and letting out all that pent-up emotion. If you’re wearing something warm when you arrive, take it off… because you’re going to get hot and heavy in the best way. This place is special.

I am in love with Troupe429. This place is so much fun! I was there on a Friday night and Sienna's show was amazing. The bartenders are fabulous and the regular Troupers are so friendly and welcoming. If you are in Norwalk make sure to visit this little gay oasis. ☺️

Troupe is most likely the best place in Norwalk to socialize , party , and even to unwind ! Drag shows are definitely an experience here ! Very engaging and fun ! I only trust the gays to make me a drink , Casey , Alex and Sky are so welcoming and entertaining as well .

my girlfriend and i stumbled upon this place while we were in town— we had no idea there was a gay bar around and wandered in, and we were delighted to find there was a trivia night, and the staff was so friendly and hospitable! the music was great, the golden globes were playing, and trivia was so fun! we felt so warm and welcomed here and had a wonderful time. we will be back!!!!!

Troupe has been a really great find with a very fun, relaxed atmosphere. I’ve really appreciated the weekly events that are geared towards both people who want to be social and people who are more shy (like myself). A really big fan of their Sunday Trivia in particular, but other events like the weekly Drag Show on Fridays offer an experience unique for the area.
