A really nice comedy club. Very intimate spot. Seemingly, not a bad seat in the venue. VIP wasn't particularly unique, but it did give you Some question and answer from the comedian. Decent portions bar food. Drinks were on the pricey side. J. Summers was the comedian. Expensive parking, $25

This was a really cool comedy club! It's a small, intimate spot with little round tables surrounding the raised stage, and more chairs and some booths behind those. Everyone that worked there was really nice, from the bouncer to the ticket guy to the host that brought us to our table. There was a 2 drink minimum, and the waitresses were pretty good. I'm not much of a drinker, but I had the Blood Orange Paloma, which was ok, but again, I'm biased. The location is tucked away, almost hidden when you're right on top of it, which is right across from/next to The Filmore. I had a great time! Definitely check this place out of you get the chance! The intimate setting makes the experience so much cooler, and it's a Must Try spot in Philly!

I wish I could give zero stars. This is an absolutely horrendous place. We’ve been here twice for a Moth storyslam and it gets worse each time. The good thing is that the ticket prices are reasonable and the show and the storytellers are very good. But, the bad is so bad. The tables are too closely cramped together. You can hardly get in and out from your table. We expected that the food would be mediocre but it is just bad and expensive. The servers seemed to be overworked and would disappear for the longest times. And, our check at the end of the night had numerous items on it that we did not order. We did get the check properly settled. But, the worst was the guy who shows you to your table. He was rude, overbearing, obnoxious and totally offensive. It’s a shame that the Moth has chosen this place. Hopefully they find another place soon.

I thought the service at this venue was phenomenal. Everyone seemed happy and willing to help. They took our orders prior to the show and came around and cleaned during the show and refresh our drinks/food. We paid before the show ended so everything was organized and ran smoothly. I would return based on the service alone, but the show was also amazing. I didn't eat anything but the food at the table smelled and looked delicious and I didn't hear anyone complaining. My drink was also good.

Went to see Kanan Gill show in middle of the week. Good show but not impressed with the location. They started the show 40 minutes late because they were doing sound testing. Why was the sound testing not done ahead of time? They knew the scheduled start time. It was not an end minute show. Since there was a 2 drink minimum charge, I was disappointed that they didn’t have coffee or tea option.

We had a great time here! Would definitely come back. The bartender Nikki was so nice and gave great service. She definitely contributed to making this great atmosphere what it was! She gets 5 stars! I would give the entire place 5 stars, but when the manager came to open the garage doors and the water was dripping on us, when this was pointed out to him by an employee he said "this isn’t my first time opening doors". I didnt appreciate that response to someone making sure that no water was dripping on us. It just seemed a bit careless and unwelcoming.

The Punch Line is a small, intimate venue which means that, if you are used to larger spots, you’ll feel crammed. The packed sardine feeling doesn’t go away either. In fact, it only intensifies when you order drinks and food because the tables are so small. Luckily, the waitresses are on their jobs! I sat at a table with three strange women from Delaware County and left feeling like friends. Hugs and all. It’s that sort of place. Godfrey was amazing! I can’t believe he’s been doing this for two decades now. He’s still raw and very much in your face like George Carlin but he’s handsome and so well built, he honestly can get away with these things. In my opinion. The man hasn’t missed a beat at all. Punch line needs to bring him back!
