Liars' Bench

If your out of state, applied for a real ID, and only have a paper one beware. Both gentlemen were rude about it, I even showed them my non expired but voided ID and was refused service, then the dude in the beanie proceed to throw my id back at me and told me they cant accept either form of identification. As a Missouri boy, most if not all bars will accept them and I have even purchased liquor while here in Cali with both forms of ID.

Maybe it's the time of the year, and probably because we had benched watching Christmas movies. This bar had a feel of a Hallmark Christmas charm. Bar was extremely quiet, and bartender wouldn't play music because "the jukebox won't make money" if he played music. So that part sucked. This was 1 or 2 actual bars in Placerville that serves liquor. Every other place is just wine and bee.

Been in this town all my life. This bar never changes. It's a bar and you can depend on it being just that. Very trendy fir out of towers and the late 20s to the mid 40s crowd on holidays and on weekends. Just a great place for us ovals to go have a drink and relax during the weekdays. Great employees always friendly and keep the place friendly for everyone.Recommend it 100%

I love going to this bar Thursday through Saturday. The drinks are great, the bartenders are amazing and it’s always a fun experience. However for the first time I went on a Sunday and it was a horrible experience. The bartender, who said his name was Zach, is one of the rudest people I have ever met. Not only was he rude, but he sure didn’t know how to make a drink. I tried a couple different ones and not a single one tasted half way decent. The bar wasn’t even very busy, so other then the female he spent most of his time talking to and his continuous long smoke breaks, there was no reason he couldn’t take an extra second to make a good drink. This experience really changed my views about the liars bench.

Cool little bar , cool atmosphere the bartender she makes great drinks and was friendly to my wife and I we just made a quick stop there on our way to Tahoe. We been going there for years and will continue to!

Great dive bar. Closes early when they feel like it. Or maybe bartender didn't show for their shift. Anyway, bummed that they closed at midnight in the middle of a drink and conversation.
