The Stable

Stable in Providence has really stepped things up. The new menu is fresh, creative, and full of great options while still keeping the laid-back vibe the place is known for. It’s also the first stop on the Fruit Loop, which makes it a perfect place to start the night. You can tell there’s strong management behind the scenes because everything runs smoothly and the staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Definitely a great spot to grab a drink and check out the new menu.

One of many gay bars in Providence. They have music videos playing, and some space in the mid bar area to dance around. The service is great even though the drinks are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for given the size of the glasses they serve aone of the drinks in. It can get a bit crowded depending on the night you go, but what bar doesn't get a decent amoubtbof people in it especially on the weekend?

Place is very easy to get to. Such a wonderful atmosphere. Very inviting with great music and a beautiful crowd. Bartender Brent Varao is such a jerk and is always leaving early. I'm supposed to give him 2 stars but he is so gorgeous, he gets a pass.

$19 for one drink and a Shirley Temple seemed high, but I do enjoy The Stable!

This bar has such a huge collection including alternative drinks to alcohol. They are always involved with community outreach which makes spending money there even better. While it is really expensive compared to other LGBT bars, the atmosphere, the selection, and staff make it worth it. There is also outdoor seating and affordable sangrias which are perfect for Sunday Funday!

The Stable has changed for the better in the past few years, it feels like a more inclusive space for everyone. The bartenders are very responsive and make excellent drinks. The price for cocktails is excellent compared to other bars. This is the perfect pregame spot before making your way to other bars and clubs. Or if you like a relatively calmer place to meet new people, it’s also great for that too. There’s a outdoor patio area in the back. There’s a small stage/DJ booth for the various shows that occur throughout the week.

Hadn’t been out in a while, possibly two years or so. Apparently things have changed, $10 for a well drink when other bars in the area are charging $6.50. It’ll be a very long time before I come back.
