Sky Lounge

Sky lounge was a cute lil bar and the vibe is great. Def a spot I’d go to again. Ken is hilarious and so sweet. 🙂

Rolled into town on a Wednesday, looking to book a late night party on the upcoming Saturday. Monica behind the bar grabbed the owner Malhi from next door. They were both super helpful and made it easy. Had a great time with good drinks. Even pumped our own music through their sound system. Nice looking place with chill vibe.

We arrived at Sky Lounge after a very robust UBER ride, only to sadly find out that they were closed after having a seemingly pretty extravagant office Christmas party. However, they were fortunately very gracious enough to open their doors back up for our small party to have a couple drinks while we gathered our bearings and found another place to go. Would DEFINITELY recommend this place to anyone looking for gracious hosting, great service, and an even better time!

Ordered a beer, jack and coke, and a dirty martini. The beer was warm and it didn't even come in a chilled cup. The martini was the worse martini I've ever had. The jack and coke was flat and just super sweet. It's a nice nice environment, but the drinks were not up to scale. How do you make a bad jack and coke?

Wish I had saved my money and gone elsewhere instead! We walked in and were met by a guy at the bar who didn't know what they had on their list. He kept going back to the displayed list to figure out the composition of each drink that was ordered. Anyway the drinks arrived and all three were terrible : overly syrupy sweet and zero complexity. While we waited to finish our drinks, we watched in surprise as the faces behind the bar kept changing in a constant stream. It's almost like anyone could walk in and just pour you a drink. Definitely staying away.

Nice ambience and great staff. Have a decent selections of alcoholic drinks. Ample seating with a long bar counter. Can also order food from adjacent indian restaurant. Overall a good place to drink and dine in budget. I visit this place everytime i am in san mateo downtown. A good try if you are looking for an inexpensive drink n dine.

Nice bar / lounge to hang out at. The new bartenders are nice. You can order food from the Indian restaurant next door as well.
