Its not what it used to be, ten+ years ago it was hoppin. Still a fun place to go dance. Mostly young boys in there but they're fun to dance with. They need to play less rap and more techno.... love the drag queens. Though some are rude with a sense of entitlement but hey, comes with the territory. Great place to check out, wish it was as popular as it used to be though as its not much fun dancing alone.

As the description says... it is a dance club! So yes, the music will get loud as the night goes on. The club owners have remained committed to keeping the doors open! Over the last several years many other clubs have came and gone, and even been shut down by the city for various violations. Fantasy remains the oldest gay club/bar in the mid-west. It has survived a fire and economic hard times in the community. The club has one of the best sound systems in the city. They also have the best lighting system and effects. They dont just have par lights like some clubs. A majority of the crowd requests hip hop and current top 40 hits. Their main DJ works really hard to also play new high energy dance music as well. The main DJ is the only one in the state who holds a DJ residencie at Chicago's P Lounge(known for having many of the best DJ's from around the region). The club has had many guest drag performers, and special guests. Including Trevor Knight, Andrew Christian model/dancer Jake Houser, and popular Chicago DJ's - DJ Val and Pat Harmon! The club has won awards for best "dance floor," "best DJ," and "best theme nights(Blackout Party)!" Fantasy hosts many special fundraisers and events. They also are able to host private parties, weddings and other events. In the summer time the club has a huge outdoor pool and patio area that is open during the daytime and some evenings. The club has many annual events all year round! Plus, many drink specials throughout the week. Yes, this club has changed over the years. But all clubs and entertainment venues must do so... in order to stay open and reach new age demographics that will help keep its doors open for future generations!!

Sorry to hear they closed , This was a place to visit at least once . Was Classy , Very talented entertainers , Professional , but fun loving staff.
